Bare Metal Kubernetes Cluster

I prototyped and later led the team working on a Rancher-based Kubernetes cluster solution. Rancher was chosen primarily as a user-friendly front end for cluster access and management. The entire solution is fully automated via Terraform and Ansible. The most interesting part of this project is its network design. This was based on Calico and was seamlessly integrated into the existing network to offer cloud-native networking (PODs as first-class entities on the network) and BGP-based L4 load balancing (thanks to MetalLB). Currently, I am developing the next generation clusters based on Node K3S with Cilium and looking into eBPF in general.
