Mercury Portal integrates multiple modules such as research, analytics, FOOTC, eTrading, and FX options under a single platform for the users to easily navigate, search and perform various functionalities.

Research: Enables end users to view research-related content published by analysts for their investments and prospects.
Analytics: Contains information related to government yields, swaps, and bonds for one-, three-, five-, and 10-year terms using what users can invest.
FOOTC: Futures and options and OTC clearing modules comprise sub-modules like pre-trade analytics, prior day view, and a flexible report writer. The flexible report writer provides a single platform for accessing, creating, editing, scheduling, and distributing reports.
eTrading: Users can get information about trading stocks from multiple sources and exchanges across the globe.
FX options: Users can get information related to currencies across the globe.

Research Data Warehousing (RDW) is a data warehousing project that takes data from various internal source systems like IQ, RDR, research subscribe, distribution engine, research library, surveys, compass, and external sources like Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, CapitalIQ, Factset, IFIS, and more. RDW is integrated with other research technology teams of Merrill Lynch, so there is a collaboration between all teams. The data from all source systems is transformed and stored into the RDW database using SSIS. Then, the loaded data is shown in the form of reports designed using SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services and utilized by Merrill Lynch's market analysts for their research.

We also serve ad-hoc reports by developing SQL transactional code on business demand. Regular refreshes of source systems are done using AutoSys jobs, a Unix-based job scheduler.

Octane is a provisioning system that manages the Mercury Portal application's access request and approval processes and different trading tools through a single user-friendly portal. Octane will control trading tools' access and grans and revoke entitlements for the application.

ARM is a GIS-approved enterprise-wide access request and provisioning system that manages application access request and approval processes through a single user-friendly portal. ARM reduces both operational risk and the cost of administering users' portfolios of applications. Effectively, it is the one-stop-shop solution for access management.
