Online shop platform built in React Native. Lead developer of a team of 5-6 React Native developers, creating a complex eCommerce platform with over three million installs across iOS and Android. The app goes beyond eCommerce, offering users podcasts, videos, articles to be accessed within the app, and many other features and integrations.

I developed the food ordering application for the Liferando platform. As a freelance, I worked with the team in Germany that was developing the REST services and the web application. I created the Android application from scratch and played a big part in the Android UX and UI design.

I developed the second version of the CashControl Android application. After the first version was built using HTML and had poor performance, I rebuilt everything from scratch within the space of a couple months and brought the app's rating up from 2.8 to 4.3.

In 2012, I joined a big team that was working on the Mediencenter Android application. I worked on this project for a few months, until the product was released.

In 2013, I joined the Simfy team to maintain and stabilize the existing music discovery Android application. I was/am part of a globally distributed team.

In early 2013, I joined the Cabtus team, where I worked on multiple Android applications used by taxi drivers and truck drivers to communicate with dispatchers/clients. I created an abstraction layer on top of Google Maps and OpenStreetMap that allowed us to switch dynamically between the two types of maps, and also have a robust architecture to allow this.

Served as the lead on a team of three Android developers building the Android version for the Visor platform. Visor is the world's first real-time map, allowing users to see what's happening at any location in real time! You can check out the line at a bar, the crowd at a club, products in a store, a rioting mob, and much more from the palm of your hand.

A news app for a very well-known TV show in Romania. We had 10,000 users from the very first weeks, and the app was a success. I was the team lead handling the development of this project.

We basically built the whole app from scratch while also helping the customer in designing the UI/UX of the application.

In 2018, I developed an Android SDK for an AI company that was developing a smart mobility assistant AI bot. The end users were able to communicate with the AI via speech interaction. The AI framework had the capabilities to plan routes, schedule meetings, re-route navigation based on real-time data, fetch sensor data from the car, etc.

The SDK had an internal part that allowed the Qt core to communicate with the Android framework for platform-specific jobs like scheduling alarms and retrieving various sensors and data, i.e., location, user activity), etc.

The other part of the SDK was designed for the integrators/customers of the AI framework; it had a documented public API and allowed the integrators to configure various capabilities of the AI framework and feed different data to it to improve the accuracy and quality of the data provided by the AI.

The AI SDK was first used by a big car manufacturer and is in testing now for another big car manufacturer. It was a confidential project, but I can provide references if required.
