    2010 - 2012
    • Designed and implemented the software architecture of an environmentally aware, smart wheelchair.
    • Reverse engineered the proprietary software that came with the wheelchair and built a more capable system using Willow Garage's Robotics Operating System in C++.
    • Developed a mathematical model of the wheelchair structure and calculated the parameters of the model using statistical state estimation algorithms and ground truth data obtained from an indoor GPS system.
    • Published and presented two scientific articles on the wheelchair platform in two peer reviewed conferences.
    • Received funding from the University of British Columbia for my work.

    CocoCard is a complete loyalty and social media marketing system targeted towards small to medium sized businesses similar to some aspects of the Startbucks app. It is comprised of an Android application running on a tablet in the merchant shop, a web back-end written in Ruby on Rails, and two separate iOS and Android apps to be installed on client mobile phones.

    I helped MaidMobile.com add a high tech spin to their traditional business by creating the following software automation systems:

    Automated worker management and dispatching system via robotic phone calls

    MaidMobile was able to reduce most of their manual labour and became much more efficient and profitable.

    I helped MobileMenu.org automate their sales and development services by implementing the following systems:
    Automated lead generation with web crawling technology
    Automated account setup assembly line
    Automated virtual worker management system
    MobileMenu was able to reduce their cost of building a mobile web application by 80%. They were able to waive their expensive one-time setup fee and increased their conversion rate by 100%.
