- Migration of Two Accounting Systems (Development)
I migrated two companies' accounting systems to NetSuite: one from Sage and one from Great Plains. This work included A/R and A/P clients, vendors, and their outstanding items as well as the consolidation of their GL trial balances.
- Migration of Two CRMs (Development)
I migrated two companies' CRMs to Salesforce: one from Microsoft Dynamics and one from Saleslogix. SSIS and the SQL server were used as ETL and staging tools. Opportunities, invoices, accounts, leads, contacts, and tasks were among the objects migrated. In addition to tricky field mapping (the Dynamics data was very convoluted, with hundreds of extra fields that I had to determine were no longer used), business processes in Dynamics that didn't match the target Salesforce organization's needs.
- Data Warehouse Architecture and Development (Development)
I developed a data warehouse in SQL server that accumulated and consolidated data from HEAP (app login data), Salesforce, NetSuite, and two native SaaS applications. This was then used for nightly updates of a Salesforce Einstein Analytics installation.
- SSIS ETL Development (Development)
I created multiple complex packages using native as well as third-party tools (KingswaySoft). This included pulling from Snowflake, Salesforce, SQL server, NetSuite, and Pardot and sending it to Salesforce and Einstein Analytics.
- Salesforce and SQL Server Development (Development)
I developed the production organization, including custom objects, layouts (Lightning), processes, flows, Lightning components, and Apex code. I made extensive use of the connection of Salesforce data to the SQL server (via third-party software) to enable complex data manipulation and report creation, which was then fed back to Salesforce.
