CI/CD and Self-healing Environments

I created a self-scaling and templated build system for each microservice when the monolith back-end service was getting broken into microservices.

The templated CI/CD system ensured that each microservice got onboarded within a couple of hours or less. The Docker-based and pull-deploy mechanism that ensured the service's deployment was scaled within minutes. I also created a self-healing alert system where common issues were resolved by set rules and conditions—ultimately reducing developer burnout.

Scaling and Securing Infrastructure

Infrastructure automation, scaling, and security. The startup in question was getting hacked, and data were stolen periodically. The immediate requirement was to do a quick security audit and plug holes alongside designing and architecting secure and scalable systems. Within a week, I was able to bring the system to a safe level and then spent about a month implementing infrastructure automation and automatic scaling. I saved the client a lot of hours of firefighting and no security events since then. Automation ensured that no manual mistakes were made on individual servers, which were the major cause of the service's downtime.

DNS Design for Cloud Migration

The client was a retail giant in Australia. As part of their modernization and digital transformation efforts, I was involved in the AWS migration project as a cloud architect.
I architected the DNS design for connectivity from cloud to on-prem AD servers and vice versa. This mostly helped the company to maintain both the data centers while moving from on-premises to AWS.
