Sub-second Search Engine based on SQL Server

Integration of SQL Server with high-speed indexes for sub-second display of records from a large-scale database.

Leveraging high-speed indexes for display does not provide the database capabilities needed to manage business solutions. Integration of SQL Server as the back-end with a high-speed front-end results in a complete solution.

Stripe Payment Processor Integration

Stripe provides advanced payment processing, including the ability to route funds to sub-accounts. Using SQL Server to manage a back-end database, while integrating with Stripe to provide PCI-compliant security through tokenized forms of payment, presents a complete payment management system.

Automated Data Collection System

The energy sector is a large footprint energy stack consisting of Oil, Natural Gas, Coal, Electricity, Nuclear, LNG, NGL, shipping and many other aspects. In this project, I developed a data collection system that can assemble these diverse sources, standardizing into an integrated data model capable of illustrating the interactions between the stack elements.

Events Management System

Microsoft hosts some of the largest conferences in the world with attendance exceeding 15,000 people. Registration, Payment, Sponsors, Classes, Hotel bookings and many other areas are required to effectively execute a successful conference.

As the original architect, I brought forth a body of work that became the events management system applied by Microsoft today. I was integral in negotiating the deal, and then ensuring the technology exceeded the demands Microsoft Events placed upon the hardware and software platforms.

This solution applied a design where a core system is established and modules are turned on through configuration, allowing for both small business and large enterprise solutions from the same code base.
