Multi-Org Implementation for Car Dealers

We had over 800 car dealers that needed a common yet customizable solution. In order to implement it, we split it into two separate projects.

The first one was the actual 'template' code, the standard solution that the dealers needed.

On top of this, we created a master Salesforce org that orchestrated a Multi-Org construct with one organization per dealer. This ensured a standard process throughout organizations with the option of local tailoring where needed. Each dealer had their own needs, starting with the language, which meant translations were needed, currencies, integrations to other systems, and more. All these customizations were stored in this master Salesforce org.

Upon deployment, the Ant script would take the 'template' code and use the customizations from the master Salesforce in order to alter the code to match the needs of each dealer. The result was then a dealer-specific implementation.

Tourism Agency

A .NET application for managing back-office activities and the presentation site for a tourism agency. I was the sole person responsible for communicating with the customer, designing, developing, assuring quality assurance, and deploying the solution.

Of the back-office system features, I can mention the following:

• Quote creation
• Reservations management
• Integration with third-party systems for synchronizing cruise ships, ports, destinations, and itineraries
• Import module to import cruise prices into the system;

The cruises imported into the back-office system were displayed on the presentation site, offering advanced filtering capabilities.
