The Vermont Gleaning Collective App

http://vermontgleaningcollective.org
The Vermont Gleaning Collective App is an event and volunteer coordination tool used to save hundreds of tons of food annually! The VGCA was developed "crate-to-maintenance" for a non-profit organization in Vermont, where I met with stakeholders to clarify their vision, build mock-ups and drafts, and deliver and maintain a production application that is used by dozens of coordinators and hundreds of volunteers. Communication with stakeholders about the vision of the application and needs of the users, regular testing of versions, quick changes, and a custom-service outlook were required to turn the vision into a successful and long-lived application.
