Wizzo - Video Production Agency - Website

https://wizzoandco.co.uk/
Wizzo & Co. is a talent agency for the video production industry that required a website to serve as a home for their roster of talent. Some of the features they required were to provide a profile for the talent and allow users to create a shortlist of the talent that they would like to work with. I was involved in the production from the start, working alongside the designer to provide insight into how functionality could inform the design. We aimed to prioritize video content and delight the user with a fantastic video viewing experience and fun user interactions. It also required a "shortlist" functionality, whereby users could add their desired talent to the list and email it to their desired person.

The website needed to promote the app's ability to track and exchange health data between patients and doctors. The design included a number of complex user interactions and layouts so it was crucial that these worked seamlessly for the best possible user experience. The user could check to see if their postcode was within the catchment area and also see which days the company delivered to that particular postcode. The user could also build out a list of their desired products and email this to Morgans Dairy via the "Order" page. Overall, the client could not be happier with the final result. Journalled - Journal Application - Software

https://tomhoadley.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/journalled-promo-video.mp4?_=1
Currently in its beta stages, but soon to be launching, I have created an online Journalling application built using Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB. It was built to allow users to journal their lives in a secure, safe, private online space, a change in the non-stop publication of lives on social media. It makes use of markdown, to give the users the ability to add images and style their journal entry for a richer journalling experience. There will be a small yearly fee to use the app but this is purely to cover the cost of hosting, which will make use of the Stripe API. Although not yet quite finished, the functionality is very close to completion, and once finalized, a sleek design will then be applied.

They required a bold website to improve their digital presence, drive customers to sign up to their newsletter, and handle class bookings. The website launch ran parallel with the launch of their new studio and helped kickstart a successful opening week for the studio. The design included an animated gradient background, a number of micro-interactions, and bursts of color to add interest across the site and highlight the key services. For the booking system, we settled on software called MindBody which allowed for a seamless booking process for the customer.

Aileen Allkins - Consultant - Website

https://aileenallkinsconsultancy.com/
Aileen Allkins is a high profile business consultant who required a website that acted as an online presence and promoted her services. There were a number of interesting design features on the website including the angles, typography, animation, and images. These were carefully considered from the early stages of the build process, to help ensure that the website would look great on all devices and still maintain the design on mobile devices. The animations provided an extra layer of interest for the user, which improved their overall experience of the website and culminated in an eye-catching website that displayed the content in an engaging manner, helping to drive business and new customers to get in touch with Aileen.

European Sanctions - Legal - Website

https://www.europeansanctions.com/
European Sanctions is an online sanctions tool that provides up to date information on European and United Kingdom sanction regimes. They required an update to their existing site and so I carried out an audit to research possible improvements. The existing system was complex and required thorough research to understand exactly how it was working and how best to apply the changes to the code. The improvements made to the site resulted in boosted conversions and an increase in overall traffic to the website.

The key areas of the site focused on their estate portfolio and photography. Having these photos of iconic areas of Soho helped present them as one of the top real estate companies.

To Do Calendar - Software

https://tomhoadley.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/online-organiser-promo-video.mp4?_=1
Partly to learn and partly because I needed one, I decided to build a personal organizer using only vanilla JavaScript to keep track of my to-do's on a calendar. As you can see from the below video, the calendar uses small circles to identify when a day's to-do list had been complete or incomplete. The calendar also stretches as far into the future as needed so tasks could be set years in advance if needed! The design was also considered from the beginning of the build and I was keen to give it a sleek and minimal feel. I also added a feature that allowed me to change the background of it in case I got bored with the current one! Coding the calendar provided a number of interesting challenges including; the day of the month had to correlate with the row of days above it, the calendar needed to be as large as the user required, the to-dos needed to be stored on the correct days and many more.
