Online Student Testing Application
The project goal was to deliver online tests to assess various abilities, such as reading, understanding, speaking, or writing in a foreign language, or test basic skills like mathematics and logic. The testing system needed to be integrated with a management information system and accommodate hundreds of thousands of simultaneous testing sessions per day. The system used fixed format tests and computerized adaptive tests—questions selected based on previous answers.
Management Information System
The project was a complete redesign of an existing FoxPro application with new technologies, such as WPF, WCF, and SQL Server. Initially destined to work on desktops and LANs, it was later enhanced to be hosted in the cloud (AWS) and transformed into a distributed system able to synchronize local installations with a centralized cloud-based installation. Backward compatibility, data migration, and import or export to and from the third-party systems are also supported.
