I enhanced and maintained the Capital Cell crowdfunding platform, the leading health crowdfunding platform in Spain. Using WordPress and WooCommerce to support the platform's growth, I enabled it to handle over €15 million in investments per year. I also developed several internal tools to streamline and speed up daily operations, improving efficiency for both the team and investors. I contributed to a complete site makeover with a new, modern design, enhancing usability and user experience. I played a key role in scaling the platform internationally by implementing multilingual solutions and ensuring high performance and reliability across markets.

As a lead engineer, I directed the development team and the QA specialist in the complete rebuild of a flagship affiliate website. I worked alongside a designer, a scrum master, and a product owner to ensure seamless collaboration across the project. The platform served a massive global audience across 17 regions and languages, experiencing huge traffic spikes during major events.

We built the new site using WordPress Gutenberg as our foundation, creating a custom library of blocks tailored to the project. I managed the technical timeline, set engineering standards, and guided the developers to ensure we hit every milestone on time.

The launch was a major success. By combining our custom blocks with a back-end API integration, we automated product content updates in real time. This eliminated hours of manual data entry for the editorial team, enabling them to manage content much more quickly.

By collaborating closely with the design team and focusing on clean, high-performance design, we built highly engaging components that significantly boosted user conversions. I am proud to have guided the engineering on this project from architecture to delivery.

I co-developed the initial version of the Contributor Orientation Tool for the WordCamp Europe Organizers to help newcomers contribute to the WordPress platform. This original version served as the essential proof of concept that launched the initiative, which other open-source contributors later expanded and adapted into the tool used today.

I led both the front-end and back-end development for Framed, a premium multi-purpose WordPress theme. I engineered the theme architecture from scratch and created a full suite of custom plugins to accompany it, while developing a library of new widgets to extend the capabilities of its drag-and-drop page builder.
