Experience

Full-suite Solution for Foodics

Started as a premium dine-in add-on, pivoted into a full suite replacing the existing solution, then into a retail system outside foodtech. 13+ interconnected apps: POS, Dispatch, KDS, Driver, Invoice Printer, Customer Display, Orders Queue, Shop/Company Manager, Reporting, SuperAdmin. Built by a 10-person team over two years with my technical management, architecture, and coding of critical pieces.

38-package monorepo, around 330,000 lines of TypeScript and Vue 3, in strict layers: shared UI library and front-end and back-end data models. Core decision: mirror the data model front-to-back — every entity has an identical interface on both sides; the front end calls the matching back-end method directly with no translation layer or duplicated validation. 98% TypeScript coverage maintained quality with limited QA.

All apps run cross-platform from one Vue 3 codebase: web, Windows (Electron), and Android (WebView + Kotlin). Hardware integrations via Electron/Kotlin for printers, cash drawers, and multiscreen POS devices. Offline mode kept shops running without internet. Serverless on AWS Lambda for cost efficiency. No formal requirements: I researched the market and competitors to shape an achievable approach.

BI & Dashboards Platform for Foodics

High-performance BI and analytics platform for Saudi Arabia's largest foodtech startup. Built to process and visualize 300 million orders across multiple dimensions, a scale that made ClickHouse the only viable engine choice. Interactive dashboards with dynamic drilldowns (location, time, product, brand), deployed on AWS Lambda for cost-efficient scalability. Deployed to Foodics' customer base and contributed to measurable improvements in customer retention.

Roles: lead architect, lead engineer

Highlights:
• Sub-second queries over 300 million order records with full drilldown flexibility were solved with a ClickHouse cluster approach.
• The reporting dimensions were not clear, too varied, or changing. Built a dynamic query builder that constructs ClickHouse queries at runtime.
• The client's internal APIs had gaps and inconsistencies. I built compensating sync logic and workarounds to account for this.
• Strict multi-tenant isolation across brands, locations, and roles.
• Deployed to and actively used by around 1,000 of the client's customers with 1-100 restaurants each.

Mpenny.ai, an AI-first Engineering Platform

http://mpenny.ai
Mpenny is a platform and architecture for managing software development, where engineers and AI agents operate as a single workforce, with requests flowing in both directions. Each agent operates within a specific scope, and when it needs context from outside that scope, it sends a structured request to the responsible agent or to a human. The toolchain includes custom automation scripts, a review harness, and a RAG pipeline built on the project's own commit and task history, providing models with accurate project context during generation. The front end is React — a deliberate choice after years of Vue-focused client work, to stay current across both ecosystems. The platform has been built, deployed, and is in active use for my own development work.

Roles: CTO, primary engineer

Highlights:
• Several components built custom (agent orchestration, review harness) have since become available as industry-standard tooling. The platform is expected to absorb better tools as they emerge rather than focus on custom implementations.
• Built Mpenny using Mpenny itself - recreated the newer version with the solution itself, validating the core concept end-to-end.

Real Estate Investment Platform

Commercial real estate investment platform for the US market, covering the full real estate investment lifecycle. Includes roles for managing partners (MP) and investment partners (IP). MPs list assets, provide reporting for them and/or organize fundraising. IPs track performance of their assets and can organize a transfer of their positions to other IPs, according to each asset's operational agreements. Includes multiple legal flows for KYC, Accredited Status Verification, document signing with DocuSign, plus ML models for property price prediction and return forecasting. Led a 10-person team from day one, worked on requirements with founders, reviewed all merged code, and coded the complex pieces.

Roles: lead architect, team lead (via Action Engine)

Highlights:
• No spec existed upfront. Discovered requirements with founders, including navigating US regulations and investor workflows.
• Built a configuration-driven workflow engine for investment flows, so regulatory edge cases or rule changes could be handled without code deploys.
• KYC, investor verification, and legal flows built for full external auditability.
• ML model trained on Zillow and public data to produce valuations and forecasts at the asset and portfolio level.

Enterprise Command & Control Operations Platform

Enterprise Command & Control platform built as a standalone product targeting large operations centers, delivered with a 7-person team. Designed a highly configurable system with data extraction modules (SQL, REST API, CSV, API) feeding into a Data Lake. Built configurable dashboards with drilldowns and a workflow engine for internal requests and task routing. Implemented a full OrgChart with granular RBAC. Deployable on-premises or on Kubernetes, based on client needs. Built for a Saudi government client, the system was delivered as specified, but the client did not proceed to launch due to an internal strategy change.

Roles: lead architect, lead engineer

Highlights:
• The system had to be fully runtime-configurable by non-engineers: schemas, extraction flows, dashboards, and data models all set up through the UI by customers.
• Used ClickHouse and PostgreSQL as databases, allowing quick reporting if properly configured.
• Created an automated algorithm that predicts what may be required for DB index configuration and error handling in data, allowing customers to refine if needed.

Call Center Software

Fully custom call center platform supporting around 200 daily agents, processing 80,000+ calls per day (roughly 30 million per year). Replaced all third-party tools the business was running (dialer, CRM, scheduling, analytics) with a single owned platform, eliminating per-seat licensing and vendor lock-in. Implemented real-time calling using WebRTC and Asterisk, built a leads acquisition pipeline, integrated BigQuery for advanced analytics and reporting, and added configurable scheduling and workforce management.

Roles: lead architect, lead engineer

Highlights:
• Building from scratch while competing with mature commercial platforms on uptime and call quality. Got there with a solid Asterisk cluster and a WebRTC layer built to handle network degradation without losing the call.
• The system is both high-load and high-availability, achieved 99% uptime by implementing Kubernetes orchestration on AWS with dynamic Docker container scaling based on real-time user traffic.

Decentralized/Web3 Insurance Platform

Coinbase Award-winning decentralized life-insurance platform built for community mutual aid organizations. Members pool monthly contributions into a collective fund, and payments are made in the case of an unfortunate event. Implemented both smart contracts and a set of web applications for members onboarding, governance participation, and fund tracking.

Roles: lead architect, smart contract engineer

Highlights:
• Project won the Coinbase Award for innovation in decentralized insurance.
• The governance logic had to cover messy real-world scenarios (disputed claims, partial disbursements, emergency overrides) without opening new exploit paths.

CRM System for a Charity

https://fondnonc.ru/
Pro-bono CRM system for a nonprofit charitable foundation supporting children with cancer. Built fundraising campaign management, secure document storage for medical records and medication receipts, integrated payment processing for donations, and beneficiary case tracking with a full audit trail. Before this system, the foundation tracked fundraising through spreadsheets and informal handoffs.

Roles: lead architect, primary engineer

Highlights:
• No formal spec, high stakes, and requirements that kept shifting, so I was closely engaged with foundation staff to make sure critical details were right.
• Currently in active use, processing around 50 million rubles (around $650,000 USD) in donations annually.

Startup Collaboration Platform

Blockchain-based startup collaboration platform combining Git-based version control, issue tracker, OnlyOffice document editor, team and project marketplace, cloud storage, real-time messaging, and a payment system supporting fiat and crypto. Automated smart contract creation was a core differentiator. Authored a technical whitepaper covering architecture, tokenomics, and roadmap for investors and contributors. The platform reached production with around 600 registered users, but had to be closed after the 2018 crypto market collapse.

Roles: founder, CEO, lead architect

Highlights:
• Built and grew the engineering team from 3 to 11 people while also architecting and shipping the platform.
• Designed and deployed the DGZ token in Solidity; ran a public ICO that raised over $1M in ETH and BTC.
• Integrated on-chain payments directly into the collaboration workflow: each project founder generated a project-specific token at launch and used it to pay contributors for accepted work. Those tokens represented ownership stakes in the project. The token lifecycle (mint, assign, transfer) worked inside the Git + document + messaging workflow.
• Ran a global marketing campaign with conference appearances and a bounty program.

Online and In-person Healthcare Platform

Subscription-based healthcare platform built during the COVID-19 pandemic to minimize physical contact. Included video consultations with doctors via WebRTC, in-person visit booking, prescription medication purchases with automated locker-based pickup via TZ Lockers, and lab test scheduling. Designed the first prototype and led ongoing development across both back-end and front-end.

Highlights:
• Getting MATLAB model outputs into a real web interface.
• Keeping latency low enough that the visualizations were useful as live signals.

Crypto Inheritance App

Decentralized crypto inheritance platform on Ethereum/Polygon. Enables trustless, automatic transfers of digital assets to designated beneficiaries via a novel on-chain mechanism that uses presigned transactions. Invented the solution from scratch at the customer's request and built a full Web3 app.

Roles: lead architect, lead engineer

Highlights:
• The approach was novel enough that the owner filed a patent for it.
• Won 2nd place in a Coinbase developer competition.

Logicalls Dashboards

Created a real-time dashboarding platform for a call center company. Data comes from Five9, Konnektive, and internal company systems, processed through Apache Airflow pipelines. Dashboards supported role-based permissions, customer data isolation, and advanced drilldowns. Built on AWS Amplify and Vue.js for a serverless, scalable front end.

Virtual Queuing System

A virtual queuing system built to manage capacity limits on store visitors during COVID-19. Delivered as a PWA. Built entirely serverless on AWS Amplify and Vue.js with Lambda functions for real-time queue management. Users located the nearest store via search, claimed a queue slot, and received a QR code to scan on arrival for entry. Implemented multiple permission roles (admin, store manager, customer), in-app camera-based QR code scanning, and advanced reporting dashboards with real-time visitor analytics.

Roles: lead architect, lead engineer (via Action Engine)

Instabee Multilingual ERP

A multilingual ERP delivered as a web app, iOS app, and Android app. A fork of ERPNext. Covered accounts and general ledgers, sales and billing, GST invoicing with India-specific compliance, production planning, stock and inventory management, multi-user role management, analytical dashboards, and a customer support module.

Roles: lead architect, lead engineer

Highlights:
• GST compliance: India's framework is complex and subject to frequent rule changes.
• Delivering a full-featured ERP with a small team and a broad, demanding feature set.

ETL Pipeline Modernization Using Airflow and BigQuery for FreshBooks

Migrated and rebuilt ETL pipelines for FreshBooks (a well-established SaaS accounting platform with large data volumes) from a legacy, limited solution to Apache Airflow and Google BigQuery.

Roles: senior developer, data engineer

Highlights:
• Working with a large, mature production dataset at high volume.
• Rebuilding complex existing transformation logic while improving performance and maintainability.

Crypto Racing Game

Blockchain racing game featuring a composable NFT mechanic. Players built race cars from individually tradeable component NFTs (engine, body, wheels, and other parts), each with its own marketplace value and performance attributes. The combined car NFT entered competitive races, with outcomes determined by the component combination. Winners earned crypto rewards, including new components.

Roles: lead architect, lead smart contract engineer

Highlights:
• Designing a combinatorial model where component attribute interactions meaningfully affect race outcomes, not purely visual differentiation, and implementing composability in Solidity so individual NFTs can be combined or separated when needed.

Betting/Handicapping Advice Platform

Modernization of a legacy sports betting advisory platform, porting the core to a modern TypeScript and AWS stack. Built four distinct sub-solutions: customer-facing marketplace, admin, capper (handicapper), and affiliate portals. Implemented automated pick creation, flexible subscription, and package checkout integrated with Authorize.net and AWeber-powered emails. Delivered native iOS and Android apps via Capacitor.

Roles: lead architect, lead engineer

Highlights:
• Had to build a dedicated sync layer to keep the legacy platform running without disruption while migration work continued.

Table Booking Website for a Japanese Hotel Chain

Table booking website for a premier Japanese hotel chain. Guests select a restaurant within a hotel in Japan, choose a menu tailored to the number of guests, and send dining invitations to attendees via email or a shareable link. Also included an admin interface to control supported restaurants, menu, and table availability.

Roles: Lead engineer

Highlights:
• Organizing a multi-location, multi-restaurant booking model, each with different menus, capacities, durations, and reservation windows.
• Adapting the product to Japanese language and cultural expectations around formal dining invitations.
• Maintaining UX quality matching the hotel chain's luxury standards.
• Deployed successfully and in active use for several years.

Data Analytics Website for Ford, Hyundai, Dodge, and Cadillac

Microsites embedded directly into the main websites of Ford, Hyundai, Dodge, and Cadillac to advertise upcoming models and enable build-and-price configuration. Collected user behavior metrics (engine choices, color preferences, option selections) and analyzed them with a special demand model to understand interest in specific vehicle configurations. Results delivered to manufacturers to adjust production plans, prioritizing configurations consumers actually want and saving millions in misaligned production costs.

Roles: lead architect, lead engineer

Highlights:
• Demand prediction using R for statistical modeling of configuration preferences across large datasets.
• High availability requirements: the microsites were embedded directly in major OEM websites with millions of visitors.
• Legacy browser support was required.

AutoPlatform & NextGenDealerSite

AutoPlatform was a scalable, versioned data management system for automotive manufacturers and their dealer networks, which I built. It aggregated Ford and Hyundai OEM data, managed inventory and marketing campaigns, and exposed everything via REST APIs. NextGenDealerSite consumed those APIs to auto-generate fully functional websites for 1,000+ dealers on separate domains, with a Build & Price configurator layer on top.

Roles: lead architect, lead engineer

Highlights:
• Serving thousands of dealer websites.
• Versioned data management across a changing OEM catalog of configurations and inventory.

Vehicle Configuration Platform for Jaguar Land Rover

Led a multi-million dollar project for JLR, supporting and improving a library responsible for enforcing parts compatibility rules. The solution determined parts compatibility requirements for every vehicle configuration and managed consistency across the full parts catalog.

Roles: lead architect, lead engineer, development director

Highlights:
• Multi-million dollar contract with extreme correctness and quality requirements.
• The total catalog included hundreds of thousands of parts, requiring some very complex debugging sessions to understand why a given part was flagged as incompatible.

Hyundai DMS Integration

Integrated around 30 different dealer management systems across US Hyundai dealers into Trilogy's proprietary leads management engine.

Roles: lead architect, lead engineer

Highlights:
• Varying API integration paths across multiple DMSes.
• Keeping the solution reliable at scale across 30 heterogeneous DMSes.
• Normalizing inconsistent and often incomplete lead data from different sources into a proper format.

Pixit Photobook

Personalized product creation software for Pixit GmbH. Created an integrated suite: a downloadable desktop app, a web app, and a print submission system enabling customers to design personalized photo books, printed cups, calendars, on-demand books, and other products.

Roles: CTO, lead developer

Highlights:
• Inherited a broken, unstable, incomplete C++ wxWidgets codebase; stabilized and transformed it into production-quality software, writing ~90% of all code personally.
• Integration with specific professional printing devices and the print production pipeline, requiring precise format compliance and tight hardware-to-software coordination.
• First-ever 3D in-product preview of a designed item, built from scratch with nothing comparable to reference.
• Won the "Best Innovation" award of Baden-Württemberg 2012; product subsequently acquired by a major industry player.

Automated Stock Trading System

High-frequency trading software and algorithm optimization system for the Russian stock exchange. The system collected real-time bid data from the exchange, then overnight ran around 10,000 algorithmic robots in parallel to identify the highest-performing strategy, automatically deploying the winner for the next trading day.

Roles: Founder, lead engineer

Highlights:
• The core engineering problem was to run around 10,000 strategy variants across multiple tickers overnight in parallel, ranking them, and deploying the winner before market open.
• High-frequency intraday trading without leverage. The system ran at around $400,000 daily turnover at peak operation.
• Eventually shut down after the exchange introduced per-bid commission fees that eliminated the strategy's edge.

CRM/ERP Tool for a Retail Logistics Company (OZON-NN)

Custom CRM and inventory management system for a rapidly expanding local company. Covered customer relationship management, inventory tracking, and order processing workflows. Built as an ASP.NET application with a JavaScript-driven UI. In production use until the company's growth caused a transition to a full-fledged ERP deployment.

Roles: lead architect, lead engineer

Highlights:
• Started from a high-level business requirement with no existing specification and worked closely with company leadership to understand the requirements.
• Delivering a reliable system as the sole developer, which helped drive company growth.
