Led a team responsible for the implementation of a global management reporting framework for Liquidity Risk Analytics. The framework consists of a set of dashboards that enable analysis of the key drivers of the movement in the liquidity position of the bank and the components of the LCR ratio.
(inflows, outflows, HQLA) reported by the bank for regulatory compliance, both at the group level and the individual country level.

I was the technical architect and database lead for the development of the Bankers’ Desktop, a reporting system for the Front Office managers of the bank’s private wealth management business. It provides them with a real-time, secure, and personalized overview of their client accounts for their day-to-day client activities. As part of my role in the project, I

• Defined the architecture and design of the database and ETL framework.
• Designed and deployed the normalized data model for the application.
• Led the development and testing of the data replication and data transformation code components of the system and the SQL queries for the front-end screens.
• Provided Level 3 support for the replication and database components of the production system in Geneva, Switzerland.
• Trained members of the development, release management, and production support teams on Oracle Golden Gate 11g.
• Assisted the production management team in the planning, setup, and testing of the disaster recovery environment.
• Prepared required documentation in all phases of the SDLC, including the solution recommendations, technical design for the database and ETL components, configuration and deployment documentation, and operations guides.

I was an ETL consultant for the delivery of an extension of the Enterprise Data Warehouse of Global Sources Pte. Ltd., Singapore, a leading global B2B Trade media company.

The project involved the integration of customer data from 24 transactional databases for the purpose of establishing a customer master data repository, to enable the identification of cross-sell and up-sell opportunities for various lines of business of the organization.

My responsibilities in the project included development of ETL mappings using OWB, development of PL/SQL packages to perform pre-processing of the data loaded into the EDW, tuning of ETL mappings and SQL and PL/SQL code developed by the team for optimal performance, tuning of views created for Hyperion reports, preparation of detailed design documents for ETL mappings and pre-processing packages, preparation of the ETL system document, and unit testing and system integration testing of the ETL mappings, PL/SQL code and Hyperion business reports.

I was the technical architect and ETL design lead for the development of an Enterprise Data Warehouse for Starhub Ltd., Singapore's 2nd largest Telco.

The project was part of the BSS transformation program at Starhub and involved mapping of their existing EDW to the new data sources being implemented as part of the program, i.e., Siebel CRM and BSCS.

My responsibilities in the project included specification of the technical architecture for the data warehouse, data model design, requirements analysis for downstream applications, and leading the team in the
functional and technical ETL design for the EDW.

I was the data architect for the undergraduate admissions portal of the National University of Singapore and was in charge of designing the normalized data model, data flows, and database design and build, defining the data integration interface specifications, and developing the ETL packages for the application.

The Enterprise Operational Data Store (ODS) is a centralized data platform serving the operational data needs of application systems from other enterprise applications in NUS, such as the HR, Finance, Payroll, Procurement, Admissions, and Student systems. It has a hub-and-spoke architecture that enables the extraction, standardization, integration, curation, and storage of data from these enterprise systems in a single platform for distribution to other applications as needed.
As the solution architect for this data platform, I conceptualized, proposed, designed, and successfully implemented the Enterprise ODS within NUS. The platform now serves as a critical source of information for more than 110 applications within the University.

The scholarship and Financial Aid application systems enable undergraduate and graduate students to apply for various scholarships and financial aid schemes available to them during their studies at the University.

As the data architect for the applications, I defined and implemented the normalized data model, performed the database design and developed the required database objects, performed database programming, and defined the inbound and outbound integration interfaces of the system with other applications.

The Student Analytics dashboards are a set of 24 analytical visualization dashboards for the university's top management to analyse trends in various aspects of the student lifecycle at NUS. These include dashboards for Financial Aid student profile and trend analysis, internship supply and demand analysis, career services impact and outcome analysis, and Graduate Employment Outcomes and Statuses Analysis.

A data mart with a dimensional data model has been designed and implemented to provide the required data for the dashboards. The data mart tables are refreshed daily with new and updated data from 21 source operational systems through an ETL batch.

As the Solution Architect and technical delivery in charge for the project, I was responsible for defining the ETL framework, specifying the standards and best practices for the data model and ETL design, interfacing and coordinating with the various stakeholders in the project, and leading the delivery team to build, test, and implement the data mart, ensuring successful and on-time delivery of the project with high quality design and build.

Project lead for the implementation and customization of Oracle BI Apps Financial Analytics 11g for Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore, and the development of custom BI dashboards and reports based on the
data extracted from the clients’ PeopleSoft FNSCM ERP system and hotel reservations system.

I was the ETL lead for an Enterprise Data Warehouse for the Media Development Authority of Singapore, Singapore’s former regulatory authority for the media industry.

I was responsible for the ETL architecture, batch design, and development of the data warehouse components, including the database objects, ETL mappings, process flows, and PL/SQL code.
