The platform surfaces each country's top 5 stories, rolls them up into AI-generated continent summaries, and highlights the top 5 global stories (1 per continent) for a fast, structured understanding of world events. It also tracks real-time live video streams with the most viewers from YouTube and Twitch, pinned to their country of origin on the map, giving users both news and a live-media pulse of the planet.
I developed this as a solo project from start to finish, utilizing a Next.js 16/React 19 front end with an animated SVG world map, PostgreSQL back end, PG-Boss job queue for daily continent-by-continent processing, and a worker process. The project encompassed data flows, aggregation logic, AI integration, infrastructure setup, and user experience enhancements.
