Husar’s House of Fine Diamonds is an iconic jewelry store in Wisconsin. I led the development team from the design phase through release, collaborating closely with the store owners, marketing, and design teams to build a modern, high-performing website. We implemented multiple custom integrations, including payment gateways, insurance certificate issuance, Eye4Fraud, Klaviyo, Azure Storage, and CDN, and real-time catalog synchronization with a custom POS system. My responsibilities covered overseeing the entire technical solution, coordinating front-end and back-end development, and ensuring a seamless user experience that accurately represented Husar’s brand and offerings.

As the sole software developer, I transformed a legacy MVP application built with classic ASP code into a fully functional, multi-platform system. The platform serves as a comprehensive DNA test store, featuring DNA data decoding, automated report generation, and seamless integration with partner doctors for personalized recommendations. It also includes telemedicine services, enabling efficient consultations with healthcare professionals. This innovative solution helped establish the company as a successful e-pharmacy and one of the most popular platforms in Europe, driving significant business growth and customer trust in the healthcare sector.

PromotionPros is an eCommerce platform for customizable promotional products. I enhanced an existing nopCommerce setup for real-time product data by integrating ASI and PromoStandards, streamlining synchronization for over 100,000 products, 500,000 variants, and 1 million images. Using Azure Functions, Redis, Python, and Go, I cut a 48+ hour update down to an auto-scalable 1–2 hour daily process. I also developed a React-based customization UI that handles advanced imprint methods, brand options, and dynamic pricing, boosting conversion by 70% and overall sales by 50%. As a full-stack web developer, I designed the AcceptBlue payment gateway integration and automated fraud checks via Eye4Fraud. I collaborated with stakeholders throughout the project to refine requirements, maintain code quality, and ensure reliability and scalability.

I led the modernization and deep customization of Mario Badescu’s nopCommerce-based eCommerce platform, implementing front-end/admin enhancements and multiple upgrades to newer nopCommerce versions. I migrated the site from a physical server to an autoscaled AWS environment (Nginx, Docker, Kubernetes) and set up CI/CD pipelines.

I also designed a custom ERP architecture leveraging nopCommerce’s core, supporting a 30-year legacy database archive and incorporating Elasticsearch for high-speed queries. This ERP provided unique fulfillment, POS, and reporting capabilities while integrating Clover POS, Shippo, Authorize.NET, Amazon, and Shopify.

As sales and traffic soared—driven by optimized promotions and upgraded infrastructure—I shifted the front-end to a Shopify headless setup for better scalability and cost-effectiveness. I rebuilt the custom theme and developed apps for promotions, checkout, and gift card management, maintaining a responsive, high-performing eCommerce experience.
