The most amazing...

...solution I've built is an automation platform that turned a multi-hour insurance process into a drag-and-drop tool that runs in minutes.

Work Experience

Senior Business Engineer

2024 - PRESENT
National Insurance Company
  • Built an insurance certificate automation platform in Python and PowerShell that reduced manual PDF generation from hours to minutes across more than 50 state-specific templates.
  • Developed and consumed RESTful APIs for policy data retrieval, 3rd-party integrations, and internal service communication across a multi-module enterprise application.
  • Implemented role-based field security, SQL injection prevention utilities, and input sanitization patterns protecting all user-facing input fields across the platform.
  • Authored PowerShell automation scripts for batch file processing, data validation pipelines, and deployment support across development and staging environments.
  • Designed dynamic, database-driven UI components and batch staging patterns for high-volume policy comment operations.
  • Managed Git Flow branching strategies and automations with interactive rebasing across multiple concurrent feature streams and code reviews.
Technologies: C#.NET, React, TypeScript, Python 3, Windows PowerShell, AWS IoT, Python, .NET, Technical Leadership, ASP.NET, Architecture

Senior Full-stack Engineer

2018 - PRESENT
Consultancy
  • Architected a community web platform using Next.js, Prisma, NextAuth.js, and PostgreSQL with Docker deployment — featuring rich text editing, AI-powered moderation, and a reputation system.
  • Developed 3rd-party hosting and billing platform integrations, including resource provisioning, go-to-market eCommerce tracking, and automated billing workflows via REST APIs.
  • Built Python and PowerShell automation pipelines for data processing, file transformation, and server infrastructure management across Linux environments with more than 100 concurrent services.
  • Designed API-driven data pipelines consuming financial APIs for dashboard visualization, implementing rate limiting, caching, and data normalization layers.
  • Delivered end-to-end full-stack client projects from database schema design through API layer to front-end UI and Docker deployment.
Technologies: Next.js, Docker, Prisma, PHP 7, Laravel 9, Claude Code, Python 3, Microservices, Agentic AI, Kubernetes, AI Tools, .NET, Full-stack, ASP.NET

Senior Front-end Engineer

2021 - 2024
Federal Government
  • Built and maintained a Next.js and TypeScript progressive web app (PWA) with Serwist-based service workers and offline-capable architecture serving a federal agency for millions of users.
  • Achieved more than 80% unit test coverage across multiple component libraries using Jest and the React Testing Library with Jotai state management.
  • Directed a full mobile Section 508 accessibility remediation, implementing VoiceOver compatibility, ARIA corrections, skip-to-content navigation, and custom SPA route announcer patterns.
  • Developed session timeout modal logic, health check endpoint patterns, and API mock configurations for local development environments.
  • Resolved cross-component CSS scoping issues and implemented responsive layouts compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

Experience

Enterprise Policy Management: API Integration Layer

I designed and implemented the API integration layer for a multi-module enterprise insurance policy management platform built on ASP.NET and C# with SQL Server. The work involved building reusable service layers for consuming and exposing RESTful APIs across internal microservices and 3rd-party data providers, including policy data retrieval, classification lookups, payor bank verification, and agent management endpoints.

I implemented error handling with retry logic, response mapping, and data transformation patterns. Beyond the API layer, I built role-based field security to control sensitive data visibility by user role, input sanitization utilities to prevent SQL injection across all user-facing fields, dynamic UI components driven by database configuration, and batch staging patterns for high-volume policy comment operations.

Insurance Certificate Automation Platform

I designed and built an end-to-end automation tool that replaced a manual process for generating certificates of liability insurance for an enterprise insurance company. The platform reads dealer data from Excel and CSV files, matches each record against agent lookup tables using key fields, selects the correct state-specific PDF template from more than 50 variations, populates form fields with viewer-independent appearance streams for consistent rendering, generates sequential policy numbers, and outputs organized, read-only PDFs into a structured folder hierarchy. It was designed with Python, using PowerShell orchestration, for the PDF manipulation layer. The tool reduced certificate generation time from hours to minutes and eliminated manual data entry errors across multiple state jurisdictions.

Federal Government PWA: 508 Accessibility Remediation

I led a comprehensive mobile accessibility remediation for a progressive web app serving a federal government agency, built in Next.js and TypeScript. The project began with a failed Section 508 audit, and I was responsible for bringing the entire application into compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

I implemented VoiceOver and screen reader compatibility across all interactive components, corrected ARIA attributes and semantic HTML structure throughout the app, built skip-to-content navigation links, and developed custom route announcer patterns to handle screen reader announcements during Next.js single-page navigation transitions. I also built service workers based on Serwist for offline capabilities. I achieved more than 80% unit test coverage across multiple component libraries using Jest and the React Testing Library with Jotai state management.

The application passed its subsequent accessibility audit with all findings resolved.
