Senior Software Engineer
2026 - 2026
Jon Wong
- Built a CLIP-based visual similarity engine matching creators to any TikTok or Instagram reference video using 512-dimension embeddings and pgvector cosine search.
- Engineered hybrid frame-level matching blending per-frame and averaged embeddings, re-indexing a 103-video library into 824 frame vectors.
- Shipped category-aware ranking that surfaces same-category creators, lifting the top in-category match from 78% to 88% without lowering displayed scores.
- Developed location-aware filtering that includes remote and post-production creators across cities, covering 27 of 32 roster creators.
- Delivered Instagram auto-sync via OAuth and daily polling, importing each creator's 6 most recent reels into their portfolio automatically.
- Secured long-lived access tokens with AES-256-GCM encryption in RLS-locked storage, keeping tokens off the client entirely.
- Remediated a critical row-level security vulnerability that had exposed portfolio embedding data to unauthenticated clients.
- Reduced media storage by 5.58 GB by building a video and image compression pipeline.
- Automated new-upload indexing on a 6-hour scheduler so creator videos become searchable with zero manual steps.
Technologies: React, Supabase, JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, Supabase Auth, PostgreSQL, Lovable, GitHub, APIs, Resend, Python, Vite, Railway, Row-level Security (RLS), Fastify, Zod, Vitest, TypeScript, Node.js, Encryption

ReClaim Tax Advisors
- Replaced a manual, attorney-driven filing process with one automated pipeline that carries a claim from intake and payment through PDF generation, e-signature, and delivery of a single downloadable, signed filing package.
- Delivered a tax refund claim platform end-to-end on TanStack Start, React 19, TypeScript, Supabase Postgres, and Cloudflare Workers, carrying it from architecture spec to a demo-ready product in under two months.
- Automated IRS Form 8821 and Form 843 preparation with pdf-lib, generating attorney-signed filing packages per business entity and adding a bulk ZIP export that replaced document-by-document manual downloads.
- Integrated Stripe checkout and webhooks, SignWell e-signature with verified webhooks, Postmark transactional email, and Google Places address autocomplete into a single automated claim lifecycle.
- Encrypted SSN and EIN at rest with last three digit lookups, added an append-only audit trail over document and claim mutations, enforced submission rate limits, and scaled intake to 50 business entities per client.
- Designed the PostgreSQL data layer and its role-based access model for clients, partners, and admins, and closed a critical unauthenticated data retrieval finding raised by an external security scan.
- Built a spreadsheet ingestion pipeline that loads claim CSVs through one idempotent import routine, with automated eligibility classification, refund quarter parsing, and form type routing, covered by unit tests.
