I was the lead developer on this PHP-based insurance processing application, managing a development team of six. The platform efficiently handles insurance products for multiple brokers across Jamaica and the Caribbean. I migrated the system from a legacy 4D codebase to a modern PHP and Vue architecture, rebuilt the core to support new feature development, and built key features, including automated policy renewals—which can process any policy type automatically once all requirements are met. This automation freed up brokers to focus on other areas of their workflow and significantly improved the efficiency of recurring policy management.

I led a small development team to build and maintain this PHP-based application for managing reports and commissions for vehicle assessors. One of the key features I built enabled assessors to process their reports directly through our application using data from a third-party system managed by their admins. This eliminated the need for assessors to switch between our internal systems and their own, streamlining the entire report processing workflow and improving efficiency for both assessors and their administering teams.

I led a small development team to build and maintain EpicMARINE, a specialized marine cargo insurance portal for insurers serving their shipping and logistics clients across the Caribbean. I digitized what was historically a manual, email-driven insurance process—enabling shipping companies and brokers to request instant marine cargo quotations and purchase policies online through a self-service portal. The platform includes bi-directional integration with insurer underwriting systems (EpicBRIDGE), broker and shipper access controls, and shipment status tracking. It represents a niche product within the Caribbean marine insurance market, where digital platforms are still emerging.

I created this prototype application as a Nuxt.js web app that pulls videos from YouTube and other platforms, transcribes them, and translates them into subtitles in the user's native language. I evaluated and integrated transcription and translation APIs from AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure, building the full pipeline from video ingestion to multilingual subtitle output. The prototype demonstrated the technical feasibility of real-time audio-to-text-to-text translation for video content.

As the sole developer, I designed, documented, and built this Ruby on Rails web application from the product owner's vision and requirements. The platform helps users manage their health and wellness by entering daily health data, tracking milestones, and earning points redeemable for prizes at partner companies. This gamification approach helped 60% of users improve their health and wellness outcomes, demonstrating the platform's real-world impact.
