Experience
VoiceHealth – AI-powered Alexa Skill for Elder Care
https://smartcompanion.care/VoiceHealth is a HIPAA-conscious health tracking solution designed for elderly care through voice interaction. I led the development of the entire platform, building both the Alexa Skill and a companion web dashboard. The system collected daily health check-ins from patients via SmartCompanion Alexa devices and displayed real-time data for families and healthcare providers.
I also integrated VoiceHealth with Alexa Smart Properties and a custom PBX for emergency call routing and landline support. AI was incorporated through OpenAI APIs for natural interaction, including dynamic patient conversation flows and voice synthesis (TTS).
The project was showcased at AI4 2024 in Las Vegas as a pioneering example of AI in elder care. I was responsible for the architecture, coding, deployment (AWS), and ongoing system maintenance.

thecodecrate-pipeline – A Python Port of League/Pipeline
https://github.com/thecodecrate/python-pipelineI created and published thecodecrate-pipeline, a modern, fully typed Python implementation of the popular League/Pipeline PHP library. The goal was to offer a clean, extensible pipeline architecture that supports both synchronous and asynchronous stages. This project includes customizable processors (chain, interruptible, command-based), typed protocols, trait-based configuration, and integration with stream inputs. It is fully documented and published on PyPI, including unit tests and examples.
Termasa Operations – Hardware-integrated Control System
At Termasa (the world's 2nd largest grain storage terminal), I architected and built from scratch a mission-critical freight logistics control system managing all truck and train loading/unloading operations for 200,000+ farmers. The platform integrated complex hardware, including analog/digital cameras (custom drivers), Toledo truck/train scales (serial communication parsing), and dot-matrix printers through a robust plugin-based architecture using a Delphi front end and a PHP back end. Key features included automated audit photography, sophisticated quality control logic, FIFO-based inventory management, real-time customer web portals, and seamless integration with corporate ERP (Totvs) and industrial SCADA systems. The system eliminated physical queues during peak harvest seasons, dramatically reduced theft, enhanced operator accountability, and transformed freight operations across three transportation modalities (trucks, trains, ships) while processing millions of tons annually with zero-downtime requirements.
Pampa System – Freight Management Platform
https://www.termasa.com.br/Pampa was developed to solve a massive congestion problem at Termasa, the world's 2nd largest grain storage facility by capacity. During harvest season, truck lines would extend up to 20 miles, causing operational chaos and driver frustration.
I designed and developed this web-based scheduling platform from scratch, allowing customers to reserve time slots for unloading operations. By digitally organizing truck arrivals, the system completely eliminated physical queues, driver protests, and operational bottlenecks.
The platform evolved to include intelligent prioritization based on cargo types and client profiles, enabling strategic operational decisions. I handled the complete full-stack development, including back-end logic, front-end interface, database design, integration with corporate ERP systems, and production deployment, ensuring rock-solid reliability during peak harvest seasons.
Sistema Pampa dramatically improved operational efficiency and remains in production use decades after its initial launch, a testament to its robust architecture and enduring value.

3d-party Health Device Integration for VoiceHealth
I led the integration with a third-party vendor supplying smart health devices (scales, blood pressure monitors, glucose meters) via a proprietary hub and API. I implemented an event-sourcing architecture in Laravel, storing raw API data as immutable events and projecting normalized patient records for internal use.
This design enabled flexible adaptation to vendor API changes and internal data model evolution without impacting historical data.
This project showcases my experience with API integrations, data normalization, scalable back-end architecture, and hardware-to-cloud health monitoring systems.
