Work Experience
Enterprise and Solutions Architect
The Blackstone Group
- Developed the enterprise architecture solutions blueprint for a digital fabric transformation focusing on business and technology. Identified business and technology capabilities and aligned strategic and operational drivers.
- Analyzed cashless and identity digital touchpoint solutions for gaming and non-gaming ecosystems throughout the customer journey, focusing on gaming first to ensure strategic risks and compliance with digital wallet enablement.
- Reviewed the Azure Customer Management Microservice Kubernetes Service. Recommended containerization improvements, using a service mesh to provide the adoption of the microservices architecture style, and the use of Apache Kafka.
- Revised the state of the customer and loyalty management user accounts and conducted an assessment of how the new payment services provider could securely integrate with the existing technology landscape. Ultimately, recommended strategic solutions.
Senior Solutions Architect
Australian Government Department of Defence
- Established the enterprise architecture blueprint for data archiving solutions and presented it for endorsement to the BISS senior leadership team.
- Contributed to the development of BISS's data and information governance policies. Provided fundamental architectural principles with a particular focus on data and information architecture principles and data management lifecycle.
- Conducted mini market scans on enterprise data vault solutions with key vendors. Provided product architecture assessments and recommendations based on impacts on the current state, risks, and costs and aligned with the Department of Defence.
- Developed a conceptual data model based on Dan Linstedt's Data Vault 2.0 best practices, using data concepts of Satellites, Links, and Hubs for a chosen defense legacy app and data indicated to be archived in the enterprise data vault.
Enterprise Architect
AIA Group
- Served as the Enterprise Data Architect for the mergers and acquisitions program, successfully leading the migration of 180+ business systems and their complex integrations from CMLA to AIA's on-premise and cloud platforms.
- Directed the modernization of AIA's Group Insurance Pulse and Intel Hub program at both tactical and strategic levels and provided advanced business analytics and data visualization reports for group trustees.
- Ran a digital and data partnership distribution model to launch strategic products bundling across CBA and AIA Australia, introducing the omnichannel customer journey featuring web chat, telesales, data-driven approval, and a quote-and-apply tool.
- Managed AIA-CBA shared services, including MS Teams, Microsoft 365, and Atlassian Cloud with Jira and Confluence, focusing on enterprise security enablement covering strategic information protection, data loss prevention (DLP), and data sovereignty.
- Developed an end-to-end solution architecture to enable Part 9 Australia Federal Court and APRA share sale agreement to be completed by providing end-to-end significant event notifications (SEN) to APRA, Federal Court, customers, and group trustees.
- Led Day 2 CFS business operating model, tactical and strategic model, and Colonial First State divestments to KKR. Policy underwriting and decision-making were under CMLA operations, and AIA's new functions needed to be operational by Day 2.
Experience
Modernizing a Legacy POS
I designed the end-to-end solution architecture for Australia Post using OneView Commerce for a unified commerce approach delivering a retail-as-a-service solution, headless apps, and cloud solutions. Focusing on transactions management, products and services, promotions, cash management, back end, financial processing, and integrations.
Digital Fabric Transformation: Cashless and Identity Management Solutions for Gaming and Non-Gaming
I also assisted in end-to-end solutions architecture and design of the proposed closed-loop digital wallet payments ecosystems for gaming and non-gaming ecosystems. We started by evaluating the pros and cons of open-loop, closed-loop, or restricted closed-loop systems and brainstorming the use of digital EMV cards, NFC tags, and RFIDs across numerous Agile workshops. We focused on digital ledger solutions using EonX payments services residing on the AWS Cloud platform, where the front-end and customer wallets account were linked. In addition, we handled data integration to internal gaming and non-gaming customers and loyalty management platforms residing on the Azure Cloud platform services, on-premise data centers, and Salesforce CRM.
Furthermore, I provided improvements to the Azure microservices architecture.
