Senior Python Developer
2025 - 2025
Sean Odwyer
- Rebuilt a completely non-functional legacy codebase from scratch after determining that the original system was technically unusable due to a lack of structure, documentation, and scalable design.
- Clarified business goals directly with the client, translated them into a clean technical architecture, and designed and delivered a fully working production system within the same timeline the client expected for only "fixing" the old code.
- Implemented a modern, serverless, event-driven workflow leveraging Google Cloud (Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run), significantly improving scalability, reliability, and future maintainability.

Senior Software Engineer
2022 - 2024
Passport Fintech
- Developed and maintained secure API integrations with over banks using Python, enabling automated payments, balance checks, and transaction reconciliation for thousands of end users.
- Reduced payment processing errors by implementing robust validation and retry logic in bank API communication workflows.
- Led the refactor of legacy integration modules, improving test coverage and reducing incident response time related to banking failures.

Project History
Access Control
I developed the whole Access Control system. Access Control is a product that blocks employees' access to their emails outside a configured time. It also blocks access based on IP and/or location. These types of services are critical in countries with very rigorous labor laws, such as Brazil.
Itinera
http://itinera.ccI built and maintained Itinera, an AI-powered customer-service automation platform for travel agencies that ingests leads from WhatsApp and Email, qualifies and enriches them with LLM agents, and automatically drafts replies, builds trip itineraries, and schedules reminders.
PermitFlow
I built PermitFlow, an AI-powered platform designed to simplify building permit workflows by turning complex regulations, technical requirements, and project data into structured, actionable guidance. I designed the architecture, back end, data model, and AI workflows, combining deterministic rules with LLM-powered analysis to improve accuracy, traceability, and reliability.
