Work Experience
Power BI Developer
2024 - 2025
MD Ally, Inc.
- Created nine Power BI reports for daily monitoring of calls, encounters, diversions, EMS referrals, waiting times, etc.
- Designed custom report backgrounds in Figma using the client’s fonts and color palette, then applied those colors consistently across visuals.
- Implemented Dataflows to retrieve and normalize the company’s OBT (One Big Table), creating downstream fact and dimension tables for any team to reuse.
- Identified, reported, documented, and acted on multiple data quality issues that would directly impact business outcomes.
- Wrote advanced M code in Dataflows to filter out junk rows, handle nulls/blanks, correct data types and text casing, apply business‑rule flags, and drop empty columns, leaving a clean source for downstream models.
- Set up automated refresh schedules (daily, weekly, monthly, annual, on‑demand) for both Dataflows and semantic models via a secure API.
- Implemented a Golden Semantic Model architecture that serves as the single point of truth for high‑value metrics and can feed all current and future reports from one scalable source.
- Enabled Direct Query and Composite storage models in reports connected to the Golden Semantic Model, writing DAX that leverages each mode’s strengths for both detail and summary views.
- Standardized a service account for all data‑source connections and report publishing, eliminating failures when personal accounts change or are deactivated.
- Provided a T‑SQL solution that parses deeply nested JSON, does precise time‑zone conversions, aggregates nested attributes with conditional logic, and outputs an analysis‑ready view of the OBT.
