Salesforce CRM was used to manage the sales and service teams' processes. The company had 4,000 internal employees. One of the key stakeholders was the contract management team, who manually generated contracts using data from Salesforce, such as opportunity, line items, schedules, contact, contact roles, accounts, etc. The signing process was also paper-based. Contracts were sent over email and returned by signing the hard copy and sharing the scanned documents over email. Each contract management team member spent 20 minutes per contract and handled at least 50 contracts every month.

I automated the process of contract generation and e-signing. The Nintex Drawloop AppExchange product was used for contract generation, and for the e-signing of contracts, DocuSign, was used. I set up the managed packages and linked them to our contract object in Salesforce. I built automations in Salesforce to trigger contract autogeneration and send documents requesting signatures. I developed the code by implementing complex Drawloop interfaces to fetch data from various objects (including unrelated) and send it into contract templates documents.

This resulted in a savings of several hundred hours put in by the contract management team.
