Work Experience

Senior React Native Developer

2025 - 2026
Black & Veatch
  • Built and maintained an offline-first iOS and iPad time attestation app in React Native, backed by Azure Functions for sync and authentication.
  • Served as the primary technical liaison between the development team and business stakeholders, translating product requirements into shipped work.
  • Implemented full i18n internationalization with documentation and a Husky pre-commit script that enforced translation coverage and blocked untranslated keys.
  • Designed and executed a stress testing strategy for two production applications using Azure Load Testing with Apache JMeter scripts, simulating incremental load increases across concurrent user tiers.
  • Developed a custom Python script that parsed Azure Load Testing output and generated structured performance reports for engineering review.
Technologies: React Native, Azure Functions, Azure Load Testing, Apache JMeter, i18n, Python, iOS, iPadOS, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Full-stack, Architecture

Mobile Team Lead

2023 - 2024
Draiver
  • Led the mobile team through a critical transition after a sudden senior departure in week two, inheriting a destabilized codebase and delivering the production release on the original deadline.
  • Architected and managed a phased international rollout of two React Native apps across multiple regions using AppCenter's gradual release channels.
  • Mentored a mid-level developer to full ownership of the application lifecycle, including releases, hotfixes, and direct stakeholder communication.
  • Modernized the CI/CD pipeline with Jenkins and AppCenter, streamlining multi-platform releases across iOS, Android, and alpha test channels.
Technologies: React Native, TypeScript, Jenkins, Visual Studio App Center, CI/CD Pipelines, iOS, Android, Team Leadership, Team Mentoring, Push Notifications, Full-stack, Architecture, Technical Leadership

Senior Software Engineer

2023 - 2023
Intent
  • Built a geospatial pipeline that automatically identified farm boundaries from tractor GPS telemetry and drone imagery, generating clean parcel overlays for downstream platform use.
  • Architected scalable Node.js and PostgreSQL backends capable of processing large geospatial datasets with zero downtime during ingest and visualization.
  • Developed a React data visualization application on AWS that automated geospatial workflows for non-technical business users, reducing manual map preparation work.
Technologies: Node.js, JavaScript, React, Geospatial Data, GPS, Telemetry, Drone CI, AWS IoT, REST APIs, Geofencing, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Maps API, Google Places API, PostGIS, Full-stack

Lead Front-end Developer

2022 - 2022
6 Degrees Health
  • Built MediVI, a HIPAA-compliant healthcare data platform delivering provider search, case submission, and live case updates to members across iOS, Android, and web.
  • Migrated a C# monorepo to GoLang for an insurance provider network lookup service, improving performance and maintainability of a core HIPAA-regulated system.
  • Architected React Native frontends in TypeScript for three internal insurance tools and managed CI/CD pipelines for both Android and iOS releases.
Technologies: React, React Native, TypeScript, Go, HIPAA, SOX Compliance, Mobile Development, Mobile App Development, Web Development, Full-stack, CI/CD Pipelines, HIPAA Compliance, Push Notifications, Architecture

Senior Technology Specialist

2019 - 2022
VMLY&R
  • Took ownership of an over-engineered offshore React Redux codebase and delivered a Hill's Pet Nutrition product recommendation tool to PetSmart veterinary locations, replacing the previous failed delivery attempt.
  • Built a collaborative authoring application for NWEA MAP assessment question writers, enabling real-time multi-user question development workflows across distributed teams.
  • Worked across multiple high-profile enterprise clients over three years, translating creative and product requirements into shipped React applications.
Technologies: React, Enterprise Software, Redux, TypeScript, Amazon Web Services (AWS), HIPAA Compliance

Engineering Portfolio

http://dontpanic.fyi
A self-built engineering portfolio at dontpanic.fyi. I leveraged Next.js 19 on Vercel, Postgres, and Anthropic API. There is a phosphor-green CRT aesthetic with a scanline overlay, Space Mono and Syne typography, and a deliberate desktop-first design. I built and maintained the site solo. The site doubles as a working sandbox for new ideas and a public record of the engineering decisions behind shipped products.

Contents include live engineering decision writeups, a code gauntlet, a schema-to-table demo, testing and CI tabs, Swagger/tRPC examples, and a Poker Defense game with a live Supabase leaderboard. The mobile section showcases shipped React Native work: Derby Day Pool (a Kentucky Derby betting pool app on TestFlight), Unleashed AI (a QR-coded pet platform with AI photo cleanup, a lost pet network, and a full React Native back end), and Proof (a BLE scale-bar inventory app).

MenuTranslator

https://kcmenu.build
Multilingual restaurant menu platform built for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, targeting deployment across the 16 host cities in the US, Mexico, and Canada. Restaurants upload a PDF menu, and the platform scrapes it via Claude vision, runs it through an AI translation pipeline, and publishes a customer-facing menu in 17 languages with localized pricing. Built across three repos: a Next.js 19 front end on Vercel, a Node.js scraper and translator on Railway using the Anthropic Message Batches API, and a Next.js sales CRM with Supabase, magic link auth, and full RLS. Kristopher built the entire stack solo: a PDF-first vision-scraping pipeline, batched per-restaurant translation with structured tool-use output, a Supabase schema with section-level translation joins, a webhook-driven lead intake from the public site to the internal CRM, and a sales rep commission-tracking system. Live at kcmenu.build with La Bodega KC as the launch restaurant, 385 menu items live in English, Spanish, and French.

PrototypeWorkshop

AI-assisted prototyping service that helps non-technical founders turn ideas into shippable software. Clients submit a project brief through a guided intake flow, and the platform routes them through scoping, prototyping, and delivery with AI assistance threaded through each stage. Built on Next.js 19 with Supabase for auth and data, Resend for transactional email, and a referral system that splits project value cleanly between referrer and builder. Kristopher built the full Phase 1 stack solo: intake flow, project lifecycle state machine, referral attribution capped at a configurable ceiling, and the email infrastructure for client communication. Distribution strategy targets entrepreneur meetup groups and SEO/AEO/GEO optimization to improve discoverability via AI assistants. Live at youridea.build.
