Experience

AIM - Automated Inventory Management

IM is an all-in-one procurement system which integrates and works directly with customer storage facilities and stocked vehicles; tracking live data across multiple inventory sites to automate the procurement and replenishment process. With both a web-based interface and mobile apps, AIM has the following features:

- Track live inventory levels, with streamlines replenishment options
- Track multiple inventories and areas
- Set order points and order quantities on each inventory item
- Automatically generate orders with the ability to review and approve before the order is placed.

I led the team that developed the Windows Mobile and Android versions of AIM, as well as the primary WCF Services that power that communication with EES Systems. We were challenged to support existing ASMX services as well as new WCF services, with both SOAP and JSON endpoints. We used .NET Compact Framework 2.0 for the Windows Mobile version, Java for Android. We developed support for barcode scanning using both the MC67 built-in scanner as well as other types of Bluetooth scanners. The product is live, and in use by customers.
