Project History
Crateful: Grocery Delivery Platform
I integrated many back-end APIs, catalog, stores, inventory/pricing, payments, delivery slots, and orders behind an adapter layer with axios interceptors for retries and error normalization. We paired code splitting with skeletons and optimistic updates so that add-to-cart, store switching, and slot selection stay quick. A persistent client state prevents cart loss on refresh.
For auth, I set up JWT with short-lived access tokens and a refresh-token flow (silent refresh, rotation, 401 recovery). Tokens are propagated via interceptors and invalidated on logout; role-based routing separates shopper and admin while keeping users signed in across tabs.
The admin portal handles queues, reschedules, slot creation, and truck-ID assignment with tables, filters, and bulk actions; status-aware controls prevent conflicting updates. Team-wise, I set conventions (folders, component APIs, state boundaries). The result is a maintainable codebase that scales with new stores and operational rules.
SynMob SmartCities
https://github.com/AshifAli007/synMob-smartCitiesOn the modeling side, I trained sequence models (LSTM) to capture route tendencies at different times of day, then layered in spatial clustering to discover natural “corridors” of movement. The project link includes diagnostic visuals, congestion heatmaps, route-prediction animations, and short vs. long trip comparisons.
Finally, I wrapped the artifacts with utilities that export analysis-ready datasets and reproducible figures. The result is a shareable, researcher-friendly package that helps analysts identify congestion points and reason about signal timing, corridor optimization, and “what-if” scenarios.
NetPrizm: 5G Network Simulation & Visualization
A lot of effort went into performance: taming React renders, keeping pan/zoom buttery, and structuring derived data (memoized selectors) so devices don’t stutter when you scrub the timeline. I also enforced responsive standards with media queries and hardened tricky interactions (multi-layer toggles + time window + filters) to keep the mental model obvious.
This shipped in close collaboration with back-end peers (API shapes and data contracts) and fed directly into field workflows—visualizing where capacity breaks and which tower configurations help. The work aligns with Amantya’s 5G product engineering focus and bridges simulation outputs with decisions the radio engineers needed to make.
Octopusplus: Sharded File Management System
https://github.com/AshifAli007/octopusplusThe front end (React, Material UI) focuses on operational clarity: bulk upload UX, shard health, and content search live in one dashboard. Axios middleware handles retry/backoff and token propagation; a slim auth layer protects routes while keeping sessions snappy.
It gives teams a controllable, self-hosted storage workflow with good ergonomics and clear failure semantics.
Ingredia: Recipe Recommendation Web Application
Phase 2 was about completeness and polish. I implemented ratings/reviews, a consolidated shopping-list generator that merges overlapping ingredients across selected recipes, and a more deliberate navigation rhythm so users flow from “add ingredients” to “actionable plan.”
I also used LLMs (ChatGPT + GitHub Copilot) as accelerators for scoped tasks, UI boilerplate, reducer scaffolds, and edge-case handling, then tightened the results manually. When generative code introduced state propagation bugs, I refactored for explicitness and added unit-ish checks around tricky filter paths. CI/CD runs via GitHub and Netlify for quick previews and dependable deploys.
Kepler: Big Data Visualization Dashboard
The emphasis was on “feel”: charts should render fast, brushes should be silky, and layout shouldn’t fight the eye. ECharts' option model gave us expressiveness without hand-rolling every visualization, and Redux helped keep complex UI state deterministic. The result is a dashboard where non-technical users can drag in CSVs, compose views, and get to insight quickly without throwing away fidelity.
Particle Animation Using Three.js - Galaxy
The codebase is deliberately “hackable”: parameters for point size, dispersion, and motion are centralized, shader chunks are kept tidy, and everything plays nicely with modern bundlers. It’s the kind of repo you can fork and retheme in minutes, great for visual prototypes and portfolio storytelling.
Techmarathon: Event Platform
Operationally, I automated CI/CD, deployed on cloud infra, and instrumented the app so we could see traffic spikes before they became issues. From an engineering perspective, the interesting bit was making the results computation both fair and fast, clear event rules, and crisp UIs for coordinators to validate runs.
Portfolio v1: Animated Personal Site
https://ashifdesigns.com/The project doubled as an experimentation bed for my animation patterns: separating choreography from layout, avoiding layout thrash, and keeping the animation budget honest so performance never feels like an afterthought.
Music Visualizer: Hackathon Winner
Under the hood, the Web Audio API feeds an AnalyserNode; I sample time-domain bytes and convert amplitude deltas into an evolving angle θ that drives sin(θ)/cos(θ) on an HTML5 canvas. Rendering uses requestAnimationFrame with smoothing and clamped deltas to avoid jitter/clipping. A small React architecture (hooks + refs) keeps audio, analyser, and canvas in sync, while responsive layout and keyboard controls make it accessible.
