A data governance plan for a distribution company.

I was the data management specialist, and based on their mission and goals, I assess their maturity and propose a detailed plan on how to implement data governance while working towards those goals.

I design the party data model, incorporated data from their systems for the data warehouse POC, and automated the invoice auditing for suppliers. This resulted in up to 54% of them obtaining credit notes that improved supplier management.

I developed an auditing tool for rates and invoices for different carriers in transport and logistics. It was developed using Python and PostgreSQL on the back end and Power BI for the customer-facing part, which enabled the business to recover an estimated $100,000 a year and improve the relationship with the carriers. The tool gathers invoices and rates agreements and detects anomalies and overcharges while showing trends.

I performed a company assessment and documented usage across multiple areas and sites of the system to conduct a clinical trial. I also audited the associated data and created standard operating procedures (SOPs) and data governance policies.
