A Social Network for Outdoor Active People
- Prototyped a long and tested various app approaches during the initial phase, since we needed to try them out in our hands before committing to the final design.
- Examined various tech stacks, but we ended up choosing the ones that make us as fast and keep things simple.
- Worked on this native app that allows users to upload and share short video stories, and collections of images, arrange happenings, and meet new people.
- Had a great experience diving deeper into mobile development, both using Flutter and React Native, but I also have high requirements for the back end.

I designed and implemented a PowerPoint-like web application using HTML5, and developed the back end using Python with the Google App Engine.
One of the most challenging tasks was the implementation of the algorithm and UI for removing backgrounds from images. Not only solid white or other colors, but any background. This is done with a little help from the user who provides marking points.
The http://remby-os.appspot.com/ link is kept for historical reasons since the project has now been shut down, with only a few elements still functioning.
