Work Experience
Senior AI Engineer
OpenAI
- Developed and maintained 4 simulated full-stack application environments and MCPs for training multimodal LLM agents using React, Nest.js, Prisma, and Terraform.
- Performed manual UI, REST API, and Websocket testing, ensuring adherence to feature spec.
- Wrote E2E CI test suite in Playwright with 100% coverage of key user journeys.
- Identified and applied optimizations to reduce the Largest Contentful Paint by approximately 30%, saving significant agent compute time per training cycle.
AI Data Engineer
Freelance
- Developed machine learning data pipelines in Spark and Airflow for over 100,000 documents, equivalent to 3 years of full-time human effort.
- Caught a security vulnerability related to a model’s knowledge cutoff, which had gone unnoticed for 6 months.
- Engineered automated safety and quality metrics in PyRIT, rejecting poor completions with 100% sensitivity and 76% specificity.
React Native Developer
NexusBee
- Trained and deployed a two-way recommender using TensorFlow and Keras, increasing KPIs by between 50% and 90% compared to random matching.
- Managed cloud-native distributed back end with GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
- Implemented session management with Redis, OAuth2, and JSON Web Tokens (JWTs).
- Implemented event-driven messaging and multimedia services using Kafka and AWS.
Software Developer
McGill Genome Centre
- Raised the software’s average yearly citation rate by 29% after a major UX redesign.
- Achieved a reduction from quartic to cubic running time of algorithms in C and Python, expanding model capacity by more than 30 times.
- Integrated GitHub Actions for automated testing of code repositories.
- Managed documentation pages with Node.js and Jekyll.
