Handyguy is a family-owned company established in 2008 to provide you with top-quality home service professionals. The company helps people looking for home services such as painting, electrical installations, and plumbing. Handyguy uses a formalized process to find contractors for their needs and help with the best home improvement contractor recommendations.

Handyguy discussed the requirements with my organization, Creole Studios, to add additional functionality to the website. The client hired a team of dedicated developers to customize the website for improved user experience and interface. I acted as a lead developer in this project.

The current website was not working as per the client’s requirements as it needed to be more functional. The client wanted to create a website with numerous functionalities as a website was on WordPress. Finding his website old-fashioned, the founder of Handyguy asked our team to modernize the website for clients and contractors. The timely calls and meetings with project management tools helped their internal team to understand the progress.

Youth Arch Foundation is an organization that focuses on the development of youth. They encourage young talents to contribute to society by participating in various community activities. They organize annual awards ceremonies for promising school students, including the Hong Kong Outstanding Students Awards (HKOSA) and Youth Arch Student Improvement Award (YASIA). They recognize deserving candidates and explore leadership potential for various award categories by organizing a wide range of activities and community services. They aim to provide a platform for the youth where they can interact, learn, and support each other. They focus all-round development of the students in terms of educational, personal, life, and career developments.

The entire Youth Arch web portal is divided into two main modules—HKOSA and YASIA. Student users have access to HKOSA, whereas marker and school users have access to both HKOSA and YASIA modules. There is also an admin module to govern all the other modules and features in the system.

I acted as the lead developer in this project, working on the complex logic and initial project setup and managing the project. I helped the team and guided them to perform the modules or tasks in this project.

The Energy Year website was restructured with different interactive widgets, news and articles, a calendar, and upcoming events. The landing page contains an auto-updating widget that displays the statistics of commodities, stocks, indices, and forex. For the markets page, country-specific content like news, facts and figures, maps, and books published in countries where they have a presence is displayed.

The upcoming events section contains two options: users can add the event date to their calendar and visit their website. Users can filter the results by the type of content, regions, and countries and the search option allows them to search within those filtered results. The news and features pages were restructured, and a section of the most popular articles was added to both pages. Tags can be added to any news article or any other post when it is published from the back end of the system. These tags are helpful when a user searches for any keyword, and the algorithm fetches the relevant content from the whole website based on the searched keyword and displays the results.

I worked on this project as a senior WordPress developer, managed the project, and executed the project in a team.

I created this WooCommerce plugin available on the WordPress Plugin Directory.

This WooCommerce extension generates a PDF invoice for your WooCommerce orders. Admin can download order PDF from the order admin page, and customers can download order PDF from my account page.

I created a plugin that's now available on the WordPress Plugin Directory.

This custom Gutenberg block is used for adding calls to action to user pages.

• Users can set a background image, title, and description in this block.
• Many options are available to style this section.

Updated the plugins and removed unwanted plugins which were not being used. Added new products in WooCommerce and fixed WooCommerce checkout shipping zone issue. Performed content changes, image edits, image replacement, and other things to maintain a website. Worked on bug fixing, giving suggestions to the client, and researching new features.

Integrated Plaid bank verification and link widget on the front page for a seamless user experience. Generated distinct Plaid API codes for customer-specific data retrieval. Developed a custom shortcode for users to showcase all Plaid connection-related information on the front end. Customized WordPress to display back-end information on the user edit profile page. Resolved CSS issues for the Plaid integration page and back-end information section.
