Project History

Automated Warehouse in Japan

https://toralogi.com/news-pg-opens-largest-automated-warehouse-in-japan-1905/
  • $10 Million — Annual Transportation and Warehouse Savings
  • 2 Million Kilometers — Annual Reduction in Mileage by Trucks
  • 90% — Reduction in Receiving Time for Shipment
  • 50% — Reduction in Cloud Bills via FinOps
  • 6 — Systems Migrated to SAP S/4HANA, Modernizing 100% of SAP Stack
  • 52,000 — Pallet Spots Enabled

Delays, labor shortages, complex supply chains, budget overruns, and shifting requirements plagued the project. IT infrastructure, app delivery, and cybersecurity were all at risk. I was brought in to stabilize operations and accelerate delivery while battling a company-wide SAP S/4HANA cutover. I navigated significant cultural and language barriers to get the engagement back on track.

Onboarding into a crisis meant rapidly building context from Japanese-based documentation with limited English-speaking peers. I earned trust through quick wins on the most pressing issues. I made communication highly visual using Miro, Draw.io, and hand sketches. I relocated to the ops floor to experience ground-level challenges firsthand, which helped me build trust and expertise. I brought structure and accountability through Microsoft Planner and Microsoft Project for daily action tracking, and drove regular communication drumbeats to clear blockers and maintain momentum.

Delivered a full IT turnaround on time and on budget. All systems were integrated and stress-tested to a 52,000-pallet capacity. A project that was in complete disarray became a clean, successful, and historic delivery.

ANZ Australasian Recycling Label Reporting Tool

  • 1 Click — Reporting
  • 95% — Increase in Reporting Accuracy
  • **3 Months ** — of Effort Saved
  • 8 Systems — Consolidated and Integrated

P&G ANZ is part of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organization (APCO). To retain membership, each product sold in ANZ must be marked as recyclable, partially recyclable, or non-recyclable. It took an analyst 3 months to gather, clean, analyze, and report data from 8 different data sources. Despite all the hard work, the method was marred by inaccuracies and redundant data.

I analyzed the data landscape and found that the disparate data sources were not standardized. Artwork was being produced across manufacturing sites distributed globally. The product was being imported and sold into ANZ. I started with a complete business transformation and standardized the artwork in collaboration with packaging design and corporate teams. I integrated the sources, streamlined the data flow in Databricks using Azure, and built a Power BI dashboard that supports slicing and dicing, enabling granular product-level analytics. I also started with an MVP and iterated on it.

Work that took 3 months of intensive effort yearly was reduced to a single click. An error-prone process was transformed into a tool that increased reporting reliability by 95%. Helped P&G ANZ retain its membership of APCO and drive P&G Vision 2030.

South Africa Advanced Order Visibility

  • 1st — Global Channel Market to Leverage DCPFR
  • $4 Million — Sales Loss Avoidance Annually
  • $2 Million — Cash Savings Annually
  • 95% — Total Flow for AO Customers
  • **4x ** — Faster Deployment of Markets

Traditional warehousing ties up capital and risks product damage, spoilage, and loss, costing companies millions annually in inventory write-offs and rent. What if products were manufactured just in time and shipped directly to customers, driven by historical orders and real-time demand signals? By eliminating intermediary storage, companies like P&G could unlock billions in global savings.

I walked into a project already 8 months behind, replacing an AI product manager with no handover. Rather than starting from scratch, I tracked down the teams that had already piloted the solution in Asia Pacific. I worked closely with my supply chain team to understand the regional nuances, then put together a solid development and testing plan. Given the tricky vendor situation and developers who barely knew the domain, I rolled up my sleeves, dove deep into the process, and coached them through it. Everything was tracked in Azure DevOps and tested through Panaya.

Delivered a $4 million in annual value to the business. Codified the process that made deployment of markets 4x faster. Scaled the solution to all 7 customers in South Africa while delivering $100,000 in annual cash savings.
