Scaling a B2B SaaS Product

Led the product growth for an early-stage SaaS startup, setting up the product practice and defining the product strategy for growth.

I led the Cognism SaaS business from Series B to post-Series C, increasing the revenues from $6 million to $25 million. My main achievements were:
• Creating the product practice and forming the habits and processes while training and hiring the right people for product and design
• Setting up the metrics and analytics, technically and strategically, to guide critical decisions using the Redshift configuration with DBT and Tableau to lead the roadmap updates
• Launching new products in the portfolio to pivot our solutions, such as Intent data in the Cognism suite

eCommerce Mobile Apps

Led the teams developing completely new mobile apps on iOS and Android for a large eCommerce company. We scaled mobile revenues from 2% to 15% of total revenues in less than 12 months.

Assembled the product teams and led the product development to innovate in the mobile field for yoox.com. We had to deal with some technology-related challenges, important mobile UX, and the mobile strategy definition to deliver the expected impact.

Innovation in Mobile Payments

Defined a new payment system to process the mobile payments of a large global payment company faster and more efficiently.

Led a large engineering team for an R&D project to address the challenges of a global payment leader in the mobile payment space. The challenges were:
• speed of transactions in different parts of the globe
• security of transactions
• cost-efficiency of the infrastructure, including some heavy encryption protocols in hardware security modules

Applying Lean and extreme programming, we managed to ship the first working prototype after three weeks and iterated several times a week over three months. The main challenges were related to database performance. I worked as a technical product manager to optimize that process and the encryption protocol to ensure security and efficiency, which I managed working closely with the encryption experts.

We managed to improve speed by 10x using an efficient cloud infrastructure while maintaining the security and decreasing the overall costs in the cloud compared to internal servers.
