Experience

Crux Python SDK

https://github.com/cruxinformatics/crux-python
Python SDK that enabled internal and external engineering teams to interact with the Crux SaaS platform via Python programming language.

I was part of the team that bootstrapped and stabilized the project for production use.

The SDK significantly eased the integration of the platform with the Python ecosystem and allowed engineering teams to build extensions on top of it.

Multi-cloud Platform

Led the design and implementation using Terraform, Helm, Packer, Prometheus, and Wavefront for a multi-cloud self-hosted runners system spanning AWS and GCP, supporting 20,000 daily workflows across Kubernetes (EKS, GKE) and Amazon EC2 spot instances serving more than 1,000 engineers.

Also, I designed and developed a usage measurement service to record and forward the self-hosted runners' compute and storage usage. This allowed the engineering customers to track and optimize their computing and storage usage.

Infrastructure Engineering Platform

Designed and developed an infrastructure platform on AWS comprising Elasticsearch, Consul, Kafka, Vault, Docker Swarm, Zookeeper, and Prometheus. This platform allowed the engineering teams to focus on implementing core business and feature development.

I designed and created CI/CD templates for containerized microservices to be deployed on this platform, which accelerated the feature development for the engineering teams.

The platform was coded via Ansible, Terraform, and Packer. It increased availability and enabled self-healing, resulting in reduced downtime. The platform also allowed the engineering team to centrally view the logs and metrics of their microservices, thus decreasing the overall debugging and troubleshooting time.

Implemented SRE practices to reduce incident resolution time and optimize AWS cost efficiency, resulting in a reduction in operational costs.
