Lead Developer Work

I worked as a lead developer, guiding a team of 10 in modernizing and migrating multi-stack, multi-cloud back-end systems and numerous integrations. At the same time, I developed multiple new platforms for customers (in the 300,000 range) along with employee and admin systems to support them. I focused on building and troubleshooting integrations, as well as monitoring and alerting. I also tightened and structured loose processes, ensuring cleaner data and reducing the need for cleanup work. Additionally, I built AI-based tools for customer use (a RAG chatbot and tooling integrated with third parties), developed multiple custom SSO servers (Keycloak standalone and Clerk OAuth-based), and handled integration with third-party providers. I extended the CRM with custom widgets and integrations, and managed DNS, CDNs, and dynamic email templating.

Inca Spell Checker

Quichua (also known as Inca) is spoken in the Andes region of South America and has numerous dialects. In relation to an OCR scanning project, we needed a spellchecker, but none existed for this language. This package is built on the open source spellchecker Hunspell. We also had to extend hunspell itself to support some particularities of Quichua previously not supported by the base package (multiple levels of suffixes), triple consonants, and hyphenation rules.

POS and Invoicing System "Facturafast"

I developed a SaaS point of sale and invoicing system tailored for the Ecuadorian market, starting from the initial concept. I delivered an MVP that included payment integrations and authentication features, and created an informational website to support the product. I also ran an initial pilot project to gather user feedback, helping refine the system. Additionally, I set up the initial sales strategies and crafted user onboarding documentation.
