Experience

  • DinoStorm (Development)
    http://www.dinostorm.com

I was the lead developer for DinoStorm, a Java based MMORPG with more than 8 million registrations.

I was responsible for the back-end and game logic and for creating new features.

The implementation of the dino skill and effect system was one of those features I was in charge of.

After laying out the architecture in UML we started implementing the highly capsuled modules, interfaces, and tests.

  • Quazzel (Development)

In 2015, I founded the language learning platform Quazzel with a consultant friend of mine. We are connecting native speakers with our integrated WebRTC based video chat.

We count several thousand registrations across the website and the app.

I was in charge of the back-end for the website and the Android App development.

We are currently integrating our monetization system and looking for investors.

  • Mechs and Tanks (Development)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3Wsxu2Tj7A

I created a 3D RTS game for the iPad as my final thesis. The core function of the work was to develop a machine learning AI for multi agent systems, which I have accomplished.

You can read the paper here:

    http://www.umingo.de/doku.php?id=paper:mechs_and_tanks:start

I am currently working on updating and open sourcing the whole project on GitHub.

  • Personal Blog (Other amazing things)

It is a Rails and middleman-based application.

  • German influencer Marketing Rails App (Development)

I developed the front-end and back-end of this Rails application for a big client in Hamburg.

The technologies used for this project include SASS, HAML, ActionMailer, RSPEC, Instagram API, Facebook API, Pinterest API, Youtube API, and the Twitter API.

My role was the complete design and implementation of the models views, controllers, mailing, deployment, and testing.

The app connects an influencers social media channels and analyzes their followers, posts, and demographics.

Influencers then get matched with brands based on the results.

We are currently counting more than 100 influencers with millions of followers.

  • Rails-based Moodboard (Development)

I developed this Ruby on Rails project for a big client in Hamburg and applied my knowledge of Bootstrap, JavaScript, and Rails back-end technologies in order to complete the project.

The moodboard allows you to create a collage of images, objects and texts in different categories and place them freely on a canvas.

I developed the canvas with Fabric.js, a common JavaScript library and the backend and admin tools with Rails.

  • German Facebook Marketing Tool (Development)

Swaply is a tool that lets Facebook pages trade posts for reach. It is Rails-based, and I was involved with the development of all aspects of this website.

In fact, I implemented the majority of the code base myself.

JavaScript, Web sockets, Haml, Bootstrap, and the Rails Facebook API are among many technologies applied for this project.
