TycoIS Redesign

https://www.tycois.com/
I led the charge on the front-end redesign of the corporate website. Working very closely with the designers and back-end developers, we teamed up to produce a project that would pave the way for future iterations.

I built a foundation that would allow the content management team could contribute more than just text. They had a system of basic HTML structure along with a CSS naming convention that allowed content creators to contribute additions to the site that matched the looked and feel, as well as passed compliance.

Elysee Miami

https://elyseemiami.com/
The purpose of this website is to sell the lifestyle of owning an expensive condo and ultimately sell the condo. We focused on high-end design, highlighting the high-end names that worked on different aspects of the building, as well as the lifestyle options around the building.

My role was converting designers' mockups to functional websites. This project was particularly difficult and rewarding at the same time. The difficult part was understanding how this should be on various devices. This project was one of my earlier attempts at fluid responsive design and browser support made things a bit challenging. I am pleased with the results from a technical standpoint as I believe it achieves all that was desired from the design. The client was also satisfied as this utilizes WordPress and is fully customizable by content editors.

Florida Chamber of Commerce

https://www.flchamber.com/
A major overhaul of the Florida Chamber of Commerce. This projects major purpose was to establish consistency, be extremely user-friendly, and be functional on as many different devices as possible. Florida Chamber of Commerce has a wide base of viewership and quality needed to be consistent across all experiences.

My role was establishing a design that met the above requirements of usability and consistency, as well as development. This site is built on a WordPress foundation which allows for various content contributors and role-based organization. Content contributors can update and change most portions of the site and pages without damaging design integrity.

Typer

I built a tool to help students learn about the syntax of HTML and CSS as well as the keyboard.

This is an interactive type-along, typing what you see on screen and seeing the progress if you are getting things correct. Once you complete a task, the HTML or CSS will be rendered to the screen to help demonstrate what is happening as you type.

Sample APIs

https://sampleapis.com
When learning what a RESTful API is for the first time can be daunting. While teaching, my students often got caught up with simple things as everyone did things slightly differently. I build a tool that took some of the complexities away and focused on what is important.

There is a growing number of endpoints you can pull from to power your mock application. My students would use this in their capstone projects to present at the end of their time at the school.
