Discovery Latam

https://tudiscovery.com
The latin american web page for the Discovery Channel: tudiscovery.com is the Spanish version, and discoverybrasil.com is the Portuguese (for Brazil) version.

I worked mainly on the CMS using Drupal 8 and performed a few tasks for the front end in React.

Quizcovery

https://www.quizcovery.com/
I was part of the team that created Quizcovery for Discovery Channel Latin America. I was onboard for the first stage of the project, which included a trivia like app (web app and mobile app), that was architected to support over 100k simultaneous users. I was involved mostly with the CMS (Contentful), and backend (Node.js, GraphQL, and AWS AppSync).

Fox News

http://www.foxnews.com
I collaborated on the Fox News project for around half a year, adding new features to their headless CMS in WordPress. Some of these features included new plugins for ads, Giphy, and full story widgets. The CMS platform is used for Fox News, Fox Sports, Fox Business, and all US local stations.

Socialpiper

https://www.socialpiper.com/
Socialpiper is the flagship app for a startup company. Created from scratch, Socialpiper aims to help small and medium-sized companies and individuals manage their social platforms from a unified platform. A simple UI design allows posting recommendations—such as time of day and topics—and analytics. At the time, Socialpiper managed Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. The tech stack included Node.js, GraphQL, React, and AWS AppSync.

I was involved in the technology stack architecture, back end, and some front-end features as well.

Nat Geo

https://www.nationalgeographic.com/
Before the joint venture with Disney, National Geographic was driven to unify their worldwide internet management using a centralized platform. As it was, each location had its own tech stack, which made info sharing painful.

I was part of the team involved with the CMS using Drupal 8. It was a headless CMS approach involving several teams to develop other components of the publishing line.

Foxtel

https://www.foxtel.com.au/now/index.html
Foxtel is the paid TV platform for Australia's NewsCorp and Telstra companies. They required a subscription streaming service for their online content.

I contributed to the back end CMS and REST API with a tech stack that included a headless CMS approach using Drupal 7, Elasticsearch, and Silex.

This platform was eventually implemented on Telstra's BigPond subscription service.

Women's Tennis Association (WTA)

http://www.wta.com
I wasn't originally part of the team that started developing the new WTA's website, but after four months of moving the launch deadline, the customer was very unhappy.

At first, Ooyala's New York office contacted me to assess and help the third-party vendor. The approach was a headless CMS but done in a very poor way. I asked for complete control of the external team and hired a new vendor. With a given six-week deadline to deliver an MVP, I successfully launched it on time, deploying the infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
