MedFuse One

https://home.medfuse.one/
I was the architect and lead developer for MedFuse One, a SaaS data analytics service that provides real-time analysis of a corpus of over 60% of US medical claims. The application runs on Azure with a front end using both the React and Blazor frameworks and a C#/.NET back end. The ELT pipeline is built on Databricks and ingests 2 TB per month of raw medical claims and master data. The pipeline is designed to validate the incoming data and consolidate the multiple data streams into an optimized corpus that is then deployed to Snowflake for real-time analytics.

Rapid Health Pro

I ran the team that built a suite of applications to support the delivery of medical equipment and services to consumers in the US. These applications had independent web front ends containing generated content tailored to a customer's specific location and needs. The application was built using Django/Python for the back end and was deployed in AWS via Docker containers and a PostgreSQL application database with a custom-designed schema. The web back end integrated via APIs with billing, scheduling, address verification and fulfillment services, and with custom internal systems that provided eligibility and cross-product services.

SCIPHER

https://www.eversana.com/products/actics/
I acted as the lead architect and manager of the team that built SCIPHER, a web-based SaaS cloud application that allows brand managers to quickly run canned analytics on claims and EMR data while giving data scientists a platform to run custom AI/ML models. The application was deployed on AWS using a Vue.js front end and C# .NET back end, used PostgreSQL for application data and Snowflake for warehouse data, and ran AI/ML models using Python in Docker containers.

PRDICT

I was the primary front and back-end developer and ultimately hired the rest of the development team that built PRDICT, a web-based application designed and built in collaboration with a Fortune 500 client. PRDICT enables users with no data science background to run predictive analytics on Share of Conversation, based on models that tie custom ontologies with multiple social media corpora. The application was built and deployed on the AWS public cloud using a React front end and Python and Django back end, used PostgreSQL for application data storage, Neo4j for graph database storage, and ran ontology mappings and predictive analytics asynchronously using a dedicated pool of EC2 VMs running multiple Python processes.

EDGEHome

I designed and wrote most of the firmware and controller software for the EDGEhome home automation solution. EDGEhome provides consumers with real-time energy monitoring and control of every home electricity usage point through a modern and intuitive user interface. The system comprises low-cost wireless devices that replace the home's outlets, switches, and electrical boxes. A wall-mounted tablet and mobile apps allow homeowners to conveniently monitor and control electrical usage and lighting throughout their home.

As the head of software engineering, I had the final responsibility to create and execute the software product roadmap for the EDGEhome home automation portfolio. I designed, implemented, and tested the device software, including modules for device discovery and provisioning, message routing, firmware upload, software image management, message encryption, and device authentication. In addition, I implemented Agile software methodology, repeatable build practices, and automated test frameworks across all of the various code bases we used.
