Tuned the WP Engine caching system to improve load times for logged-out users. I also analyzed the plugin setup to ensure optimization and avoid feature overlapping. I improved the site for page speed metrics and testing.

Redmako is an Australian online learning center focused on innovation that led it to develop a virtual classroom and is a pioneer of virtual reality learning across Australia. I created customizations to the WordPress website, including LearnDash (learning management system), WooCommerce (eCommerce), and a REST API to communicate with the VReddo virtual reality system.

I joined this project from 2017 to 2019 via Toptal. Naseba creates growth opportunities, connecting people, partners, and ideas by bringing global opportunities to their clients, focusing on liquid growth markets. I developed a custom WordPress theme from a PSD layout and customized the WP Bakery Page Builder to achieve the client's needs for a flexible and concise layout while bringing edit power to the site's pages.

Reviver is the creator of the first digital license plate for cars. They are on a mission to establish a universal connected vehicle innovation platform by reviving legacy automotive solutions and making them fully interactive, robust, and connected.

Developed a custom website to Lena McLaughlin, a high school soccer player from the US. Built from scratch, using the DIVI theme and a few plugins, the website is a welcome profile for college football coaches to get to know the player.

2016 - present. Schmutz is a comprehensive guide for concerts, music news, and all things live music in Berlin. Pedro joined the project in 2016 as its only developer. Built in WordPress, it has interesting features such as email subscriptions using Mandrill, Google Maps integration, and multi-language.

2016 -2017. InStaff is a software-as-a-service enhanced online marketplace that offers a full-service solution for short term staffing. In other words, a platform where businesses can book temporary staff. Pedro served as the lead developer coding mainly in PHP using the framework Kohana and Propel ORM. He also improved the company software workflow implementing efficient software development standards and agile philosophies.

2016. Partnering with Enrico Icardi, Pedro developed this website with an unusual layout. The main challenges were the customized grid and image gallery. Built with the static file-based Kirby CMS.

2016. Lizzy is an art director and designer based in Berlin. Her projects include conceptual development for print and digital design. She also accompanies photoshoots and manages creative supervision. Pedro developed her website using WordPress, coding it all, and providing knowledge about content structure creation.

2015. Flexperto is a platform to incorporate video-enabled communication in your day-to-day interaction with your customers. Pedro developed the website's theme using WordPress from a provided custom layout, building all functionalities as plugins, HTML, CSS, and Visual Studio components.

2008 - 2015. Catraca Livre is one of the most visited independent WordPress websites in Brazil. At the beginning of 2015, it reached the mark of 50 million visitors per month. Pedro began contributing as a freelancer and later on transitioned the project to Hacklab/. The project initiated the development of many plugins published in the public WordPress repository. Since it was such a large project, many technologies were used including Nginx, Varnish, Vagrant, Composer, PHPUnit, Selenium, and more.

2009-2011. MOC Brazil (Oncology Online Manual) site is an online version of a book. Pedro managed the project and developed a system that parses XML files generated by Adobe InDesign, and updates the whole site every year with the same files used to print the paper version.

2008 - 2015. Pedro co-founded Hacklab/, a Brazilian company with high ethical values and an enriching open form of partnership, that employed up to 23 developers and designers. It is one of the most respected WordPress development companies in the country, and have worked on more than 70 WordPress projects, ranging from small personal sites to huge multi-sites with caching, geo-referenced posts, mobile apps, events agendas, and more. Also during that time, he helped organize WordCamps and WP Hacker Days in Brazil. Contributed as developer and director of the company for eight years until relocation to Germany.

A consolidation of two websites (bnproducts.com and benner-nawman.com) of two different platforms into a couplet of websites that share the same WordPress theme.

The work was to modernize and optimize the theme so that it is fully customizable and can be used by the two websites. The data structure, layouts, and custom fields were organized and added to the theme settings.
