Ian has served national brands and startups as a designer and creative technologist for over a decade since earning his MFA degree in HCI/Interaction Design from NYC’s Parsons School of Design. Starting when he co-founded the first major social network and user-generated platform for movie ideas, Ian has developed a refined skill set in designing dynamic, content-driven web applications for media, entertainment, and related industries.
Co-designed, and developed from scratch, the premiere online platform for movie ideas and dream casting, iflist.com.
Directed and implemented information architecture, UX, and SEO strategies to help grow the user base to 100K registered in the first nine months.
Managed a team of two developers, plus freelancers, to expand and evolve a rich, custom feature-set that included image upload forms, newsfeeds, notifications, real-time messaging system, and much more.
Helped define the visual style of the application UI on a global level and managed the design production and asset pipeline.

Designed user interfaces, advertisements, mini-games, and graphics components for national music and movie-news websites, local radio station websites, and a flagship mobile application.
Developed detailed wireframes and user flows for mobile sites, audio players, and consumer deals website “Seize the Deal”.
Created high-fidelity visual mockups for new interfaces and features, covering full ranges of UI states and scenarios.
Dissected and revised a WordPress theme picker UI to transition hundreds of sites to a responsive, mobile-friendly framework.
