I led Android development on PayPal's consumer-facing mobile application, focusing on the peer-to-peer (P2P) payments experience used by millions of users globally. I contributed to the architecture and development of scalable features, including money transfers, transaction history, and payment flows, using Kotlin, MVVM, and clean architecture principles. I also collaborated with cross-functional teams, including the back end, design, and QA, to deliver high-quality releases with a strong emphasis on security, performance, and accessibility. I implemented Coroutines and Flow for async data handling, integrated REST/GraphQL APIs for real-time payment processing, and maintained CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployment. Finally, I drove improvements in app stability and code quality through rigorous code reviews and unit testing practices.

A digital restaurant platform offering prepared food for in-store pickup, curbside, and delivery to millions of grocery shoppers. As the lead Android engineer, I was responsible for the full development lifecycle—from requirements analysis through deployment and maintenance. I built a rich, Material Design UI using RecyclerView with custom adapters and fragment-based navigation with smooth transitions. I architected the app using the MVVM design pattern and implemented a finite state machine to manage complex order states. I then integrated Google Maps, Geocoder, and Places API for location selection and address resolution. I consumed RESTful APIs using Retrofit and RxJava with GSON for JSON parsing, and maintained CI/CD pipelines using Visual Studio Team Services and Git. I focused on performance profiling, bug resolution, and writing clean, idiomatic Kotlin using scoped functions and lambdas throughout.

A custom Android application built for in-store self-service kiosks, delivering the full Wegmans 2GO ordering experience without counter staff. I owned the architecture and end-to-end development of this application. I designed MVVM architecture using Android ViewModel and architected a single-activity navigation system with custom navigation flows tailored for kiosk UX. I also conducted multiple POCs for kiosk-specific UI aesthetics, including a curved navigation bar built with Bezier curves. I extracted and packaged shared UI components into a reusable .aar library consumed across both the kiosk and mobile apps, and reused a shared network library from the Meals 2GO project for API communication via Retrofit and RxJava. I collaborated closely with the DevOps team to establish CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment using AirWatch MDM. The kiosk reduced in-store wait times and extended the digital ordering experience to walk-in customers.
