Built the Wear OS companion for Tessie, the Tesla owner app with 100,000+ downloads and a 4.7 rating, so drivers can control and check their cars from their wrist.

I implemented lock/unlock, climate preconditioning, charge control, and live vehicle status with a Kotlin/Jetpack Compose UI optimized for round and square screens, ambient mode, and always-on display. Tiles and complications surface battery percentage range and charging state without opening the app. Security uses encrypted token storage using Android Keystore with background refresh via WorkManager, while I handled reliability with optimistic updates, retry/backoff, and foreground services for flaky connections.

I added actionable notifications for command results and charging events using FCM and Ongoing Activity API, cached last-known state for useful offline behavior, and instrumented Crashlytics and performance tracing. CI/CD with Gradle and GitHub Actions automated linting, tests, and Play Console promotion. Accessibility was verified using TalkBack labels, large text support, focus order, and contrast checks.

Led the architecture and full-stack iOS build, designing a Swift/SwiftUI app with MVVM and Combine, real-time data synchronization, encrypted session handling, and secure sign-in with AWS Cognito.

I owned the mobile authentication flows using OAuth2 and JSON Web Token, profile and community features, and offline-first caching. Accessibility was a first-class requirement; I validated VoiceOver semantics, Dynamic Type, color contrast, and focus order to meet WCAG 2.1 AA.

I collaborated with design and product on UX, wrote API contracts using GraphQL and REST with back-end teams, and set up CI/CD with Fastlane and GitHub Actions for automated builds, tests with XCTest/XCUITest, linting, and TestFlight distribution.

The result is a performant, secure, and inclusive mobile client ready for iterative rollout and scale.

Led the integration of UHC Rewards into the UnitedHealthcare mobile app, turning wellness activities into redeemable incentives and boosting in-app engagement and member satisfaction.

As the lead mobile engineer and solutions architect, I designed the end-to-end rewards architecture in a large-scale React Native codebase, owning flows across navigation, authentication, and data syncing while keeping performance and accessibility standards high.

I partnered with back-end teams to wire AWS IoT event streams and AWS S3 content into mobile, set implementation patterns for a 60-engineer front-end organization, and drove code reviews and technical decisions that kept the release secure, compliant, and on schedule.
