Contact Form 7 sends an email and discards the submission - there's no record, no audit trail, and no way to service a data-subject request without a bolt-on that just piles up personal data indefinitely instead. I built The Bonnie Situation, a WordPress plugin that captures every CF7 submission to a custom database table after mail handling (so it never delays or blocks delivery), then treats that stored data as a liability rather than an asset: IP capture is off by default, and submissions are automatically purged after a configurable retention window via a daily WP-Cron job with a full audit log of every deletion. Site owners get a modern DataViews-based admin screen to browse, search, filter, and inspect submissions, plus integration with WordPress's native Tools - Export/Erase Personal Data flow so subject access and erasure requests are handled without custom development. I released the core plugin free on WP.org and built a companion Pro add-on (CSV/JSON export, a deduplicated contact address book, a trash/restore workflow, per-form retention policies, IP anonymization, and WP-CLI support)

I built this custom theme using Roots Sage and all the custom Gutenberg blocks required from designs supplied in Figma. It integrates with RapidStor booking system, Twillio, and SiteLink API to add leads into their CRM.
