Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves has worked in software development since 2002, with experience in specification, architecture, building, testing, and software maintenance.
He has a Masters in Computer Science, as well as SCJP and SCWCD certifications.
He is currently a Java Developer / Team Leader at Suntech / Verint.
The presentation offers an overview of tests in software, illustrating the main causes of bugs and the different types of tests that can be employed. The presentation further demonstrates the principles of TDD and BDD techniques and how they help to minimize the occurrence of bugs. Finally there will be an introduction to the Cucumber framework, its principles and main components, including a practical demonstration of the framework using Java, Maven and Selenium.
