A national sports governing body with 500,000+ members faced mandatory athlete safety certification, but tracking was fragmented across three disconnected systems. Members navigated to a 3rd-party platform to train, creating friction and audit gaps. Manual status updates left the governing body exposed to compliance risk with no real-time visibility.

I defined the product strategy and full functional architecture for a 3-system integration connecting the governing body’s LMS, SafeSport certification platform (Absorb/Infuse API), and national member portal. I designed the end-to-end user journey from authentication through embedded course delivery to automated certificate issuance, ensuring members never left the familiar LMS interface. I also delivered techno-functional requirements covering authentication, course listing, enrollment, embed URL generation, and national DB sync.

I automated mandatory safety certification for 500,000+ athletes, removing audit gaps and LMS friction, and enabling real-time national DB sync. Webhook architecture turned a 1-time integration into a permanent, reusable compliance infrastructure.
