2015 - 2015
Was brought on as the product designer by a venture-backed, Kuwaiti entrepreneur who was working on launching a food delivery startup in Kuwait.
Managed and was responsible for the foundation branding efforts and designing the interface and experiences of all its web and mobile products: dashboards, website, iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android (smartphone and tablet) apps.
Co-founded Awari in early 2014. Our goal was to build a platform for email newsletters outside of email; a place for users to keep up with new issues, manage their subscriptions and discover new ones.
Handled and was responsible, with my co-founder, in designing the interface and experience of our mobile app. We weren’t inclined to expand our user base first and then try to figure out a way to start bringing in revenue, so after we had problems figuring out a solid business model, we decided to shut it down.
Became fully bootstrapped and our team grew to 6 people in less than 2 years.
Worked, in partnership with Communicati’s Design Boutique and an independent design team, on iJS: an iOS app that would transform the user’s smartphone into a gamepad that could be used to control PC and Mac games.
Handled and was responsible for leading the UX efforts—all the way from detailing the functional requirements to wireframing and testing later on.

2011 - 2012
Designed the app’s UX and co-designed the UI with the design team. Back when health-focused apps weren’t the norm and wearables weren’t as popular as they are today, Health+ was an iOS fitness solution for users to track their nutrition and physical activities.
