Project History

Original Thought Leadership White Paper

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1R5N8WEhO0_d6LtrM6Bv9-f19YwNkZha-/view?usp=sharing

Got nominated for YMCA of the USA's national leadership symposium. The resulting research paper was selected for publication in the Journal of Community Strengthening.

I was nominated for the YMCA leadership symposium, an exclusive conference for emerging thought leaders focused on community strengthening. Drawing on more than 40 sources, my research paper showcased my ability to synthesize complex ideas into compelling long-form content. It was recognized as one of the top three submissions, leading to its publication in the Journal of Community Strengthening.

Social Knowledge Management Platform for YMCA of the USA

Facilitated the successful migration from a content-centric knowledge management platform to a dynamic social platform organized around 50+ online communities of practice, ensuring a seamless transition.

I conducted thorough requirements gathering and software evaluation, analyzing over 10 platforms to select the optimal solution. I developed and delivered comprehensive training programs for more than 200 staff and volunteers, both in-person and remotely, enhancing their readiness for the new environment. In addition, I established a templated approach for launching communities, enabling content strategists to prepare efficiently for the platform’s launch, including onboarding community moderators.

This project involved designing targeted research questions and facilitating interviews and focus groups with over 50 stakeholders, synthesizing insights to inform strategy. I also collaborated with volunteer moderator teams of subject matter experts to curate engaging content calendars for more than 12 communities, driving vibrant knowledge-sharing and user engagement.

Content Update, Migration, and Rebranding for YMCA of the USA

Led a team of four editors and two designers to update, rebrand, and migrate over 9,000 pieces of content to a custom SharePoint site with an audience of over 15,000 YMCA staff.

I played a pivotal role in the successful migration of more than 9,000 pieces of content, overseeing a comprehensive update, redesign, and rebranding initiative. As the team lead for a dedicated group of four editors, I orchestrated the transformation of our content ecosystem, ensuring a seamless transition that enhanced user engagement and brand alignment. To streamline the process, I planned and executed a SharePoint list to track content files, allowing multiple stakeholders to update their inputs throughout the review process. I collaborated closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organization to integrate their content into the new website design. I also conducted live technical training sessions for over 100 YMCA staff members, empowering them to load their content effectively into the revamped site.

My contributions extended beyond editorial oversight; I actively participated in strategic planning, facilitated change management activities, and refined the information architecture to support our goals. This multifaceted approach improved the quality and relevance of our content and ensured rapid alignment with the new brand, creating a cohesive and engaging user experience.
