Secure Browser for Financial Services Firms
Led the concept launch and the deployment of a secure browser enabling financial advisors to access federated banking applications in compliance with SEC and FINRA.
The Workplace Secure Browser utilizes the latest web-filtering, virtualization, and isolation techniques to allow users to securely access banking applications. The Secure Browser has conditional access built into it, which would enable users to dynamically launch applications depending on their device compliance status following SEC and FINRA requirements.
I led a team of eight engineers and designers to conceptualize the browser and design a research-backed user experience workflow. I also managed the development, testing, and deployment of the browser to large enterprise clients.
Switch Benefits for Freelancers
Co-founded an on-demand work benefits application for freelancers and gig workers that won the Cornell Startup Awards and MIT FinTech Challenge.
Switch allows freelancers to pay for liability and business insurance pro-rated. The Switch app plugs into applications such as Uber or Handy to calculate the number of hours and the contract value of each gig worker and charges liability insurance appropriately.
I co-founded Switch, also leading the design and building of the iOS and Android apps MVP. I pitched the product and won the MIT FinTech Challenge in 2017. I’ve also worked with Prudential Life and McKinsey partners to evaluate underwriters and integration opportunities with insurance carriers. The team was shortlisted to pitch to Mr. Michael Bloomberg and eventually won the Cornell Startup Awards, 2017.
