Project History

Engagement Risk Due Diligence Collaboration Workflow

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiTvfHACLCI

Pioneered a data-driven risk evaluation workflow application from inception to market release, serving as the product's main application and achieving over 20% annual growth in SaaS revenue.

A bank under government audit needed a tool to prove expert risk control evaluations were performed. Existing insurance, technology, and financial service customers used a simpler workflow for risk assessment. This high-visibility project was overseen by the CEOs of both SAP and the client to ensure compliance and timely delivery.

I managed multiple scrum teams to build an engagement risk due diligence collaboration workflow. This tool enabled employees to understand purchase-related risks and automatically triggered deeper investigations when needed. It collected evidence from suppliers, shared it with risk evaluators, and calculated overall engagement risk, leading to necessary mitigation steps and informed procurement decisions.

The new workflow ensured that the bank met audit requirements with robust risk control documentation. It improved risk assessment processes for diverse industries, enhancing communication and efficiency among employees, risk evaluators, and external suppliers. This project highlighted the importance of simple user experience, automation, and collaboration between teams within and outside the organization, leading to better customer satisfaction and trust in our solutions.

SAP's Sustainable Procurement Product Vision and Strategy

https://www.sap.com/products/sustainability/sustainable-procurement.html

Guided a cross-functional team through design thinking workshops, collaborating with sustainability, procurement, and business executives to craft an integrated vision and strategy for embedding sustainability into the SAP procurement product suite.

As the senior product manager on the SAP procurement product incubation team, I led sustainability in procurement initiatives. I created a repeatable framework for design thinking workshops with strategic Fortune 100 customers.

I conducted multiple workshops, bringing together sustainability and procurement leaders along with internal user experience and strategy colleagues. Using open-ended questions to understand their collaboration needs, I mapped and diagrammed the outputs using design thinking methods like opportunity canvas, empathy, affinity, capability, and journey mapping.

Post-workshop, I synthesized data to embed sustainability into procurement workflows from category and supplier management through source-to-pay, including reporting and analytics. These innovations were converted into a storyboard, forming the core of our product strategy.

My thought leadership externally shaped the vision for sustainable procurement of SAP products. Internally, the workshop outputs aligned various product teams, influencing technologies like SAP S/4HANA Procurement, SAP Ariba, and Business Technology Platform applications, including sustainability management.

Partnership for Modern Slavery Risk Management Solution

https://www.everstream.ai/media/everstream-analytics-first-slave-free-alliance-validated-modern-slavery-risk-management-solution/

Spearheaded Everstream Analytics' technology partnership with Slave-Free Alliance, aiming to eliminate modern slavery and forced labor by enhancing supply chain visibility.

After an initial introduction, I hosted the first exploratory meeting introducing Everstream Analytics to Hope for Justice and their technology division, Slave-Free Alliance. Recognizing shared goals and looking beyond the obvious cross-marketing opportunities, we sought a technology partnership to create services that would bring visibility to supply chain forced labor risks that might allow downstream partners to put pressure on or avoid risky suppliers.

I facilitated discussions between key business and strategy leaders and product teams, including myself, to understand each organization's services and design the technology partnership. Leading a series of knowledge-sharing and capability-mapping sessions, I helped create the vision and strategy for this partnership.

Our collaboration led to Everstream Analytics being recognized as the world's first Slave-Free Alliance-validated modern slavery and forced labor technology provider. This partnership looked beyond the strong market positioning by delivering services that would have a real impact on modern slavery in the supply chain through our SaaS technology solutions, and it underscored our commitment to ethical supply chain practices.
